But if Boro are 3-0 down after half an hour, I'll switch over and watch re-runs of Bangers & Cash or The Big Bang Theory or something.

I'd rather watch Boro lose 10-0, with every player doing their hamstring in the process, followed by Gibson marching onto the pitch with a microphone to say he's sacked Carrick, reappointed Woody as manager and sold the club to Donald Trump. Then when I get back to my car, find the windows smashed and the car up on bricks. When I eventually finish walking home, find that my house has burned down... than watch that guff.

Torres, Digne, Tielemens all first teamers

Tielemans is not. He has only started 4 prem games and that's mostly when others have been injured. Digne has only been first choice because moreno has been out all season, he was firmly on the bench last year when he was fit. Torres ill give you, plus mings but they've been flying without him anyway

So not keen on it then?   🙂

hes played last 6 times before he got injured and he gets rotated all the time. Made 24 appearances this season, hes definitely first teamer now. So digne is definitely a first teamer then haha. How far back do you want to go if players arent starting a season because they are injured? lol

Moreno is back and is generally considered first choice, he might not be now but he certainly was before his injury. That's like saying barlaser is now our first choice midfielder when it's clearly Hackney.

As for Tielemans, he's very clearly not first choice, he starts a lot of their cup game but their preferred midfielders are Luiz, mcginn and kamara. 4 league starts and 12 sub appearances speaks for itself. He probably would have started this game but instead we get their preferred midfield, so if anything that injury makes them stronger from the start of this game

Please no, way too strong given our jelly legged squad that probably claim a few more injuries before Chelsea putting that team out.

Rogers and Greenwood can't play vs Chelsea anyway so they are always gonna play this. Howson is in dire need of a rest so if Hackney is ready to go then I've no problems throwing him back in. If that team is correct it would be pretty close to what I'd go for.

If it’s true, and that still remains to be seen, it would hardly be a surprise given Carrick’s reluctance to use anyone outside of what constitutes our first team group.  Also we are on the telly, and that might be a factor for a relatively new head coach not wanting to see his team embarrassed.  Trying your best to win each and every game is hardly the worst attitude to take like.
