Can't see anything but a comfortable Chelsea win unfortunately. Chelsea have a huge squad with plenty to pick from. Reckon they'll win this 2-0 sadly.

On paper they do have a formidable pool of talent, but they've been very inconsistent this season.

I could actually see us sneaking a 1-0 at home...but they will likely beat us at their place.

I mean we managed to take a far more consistent and better-performing team in Villa to the wire, so... 🤷‍♂️

Lovely, I can celebrate our last minute winner in the moment now!

I don't think we have had it used in home games, Tottenham in the cup didn't have it but we had it at Old Trafford for the Hand of Dunc.

Didn't we have it installed as a test for the technology in a round of the Carabao Cup several seasons ago?

We've definitely used VAR at the Riverside so that's a bit weird. Once the tech is installed does it not become a permanent fixture whether it's used or not?

Maybe its like software and you have to buy a licence to use it? Or they do a subscription service? I'm guessing thats how the creators make their money from it. 🤷‍♂️

Yeah, against Burton Albion when they knocked us out in the Quarter Final.

(Under Pulis. Whaaaaaaaaa)

It was also used at the Riverside for the FA Cup game against Chelsea.

Would you rather Win the League Cup and get relegated to League 1 OR stay in the championship, but get knocked out of the cup by Chelsea?

Bring on Leyton Orient away.

Will Carrick stick to the same formation/tactics as he used in the Villa game?

Would imagine it would be something similar, yeah. Thing is, when we got a hold of the ball against Villa, we still tried to play our way. It was mostly about how we kept our shape defensively and, as pointed out in the Villa coverage, we'll congest the middle of the park so we're going to hope they're going to have to come round us.

If you had to name your child after a football team, what would they be called?

Lesley. He'd dig holes but pretty average ones. So we'd call him 'mid-Les Burrow'.

Can you come up with any cockney rhyming slang involving Boro players? (E.g. "I'll be watching the game on the Fabrizio")

I might have a soak in the Latte Lath, read some Matty Crooks and pull on me Morgan Rogers.

Liquidator or Pigbag?

Neither, I'd prefer to bring back The Power Game. Although I'd prefer it if we all sang Let's Dance and everyone in the stands had to do this:

or maybe there is different levels of VAR, I don't know a load but maybe some versions of it used in the past have been much lighter than they want now

or maybe they are that confident of us going out they don't need VAR to rig the final lol

Think one of the main issues against Villa was when we got close to the box either their defenders snuffed us out by just being faster/stronger/better or when we did get into a crossing position it was a poor cross or never came in. I know Carrick likes us to try and play out from the back and play through teams but with Coburn in the box sometimes you just need to get in in first time.
