I'm hoping after the last two intense games our players will find it easier with the drop in level. Looking forward to seeing how Azaz does. Then Rogers and Greenwood would of rested agaisnt Chelsea so should be ready to go.

Will be good to have Rogers back, he was on fire leading up to the Chelsea game, he'll be raring to go tomorrow

Millwall aren't a bad side but they are nothing to fear either. The thing about our injuries are they seem to strike and leave us short in one position after another. With Ayling signing and O'Brien almost back to fitness , we have covered right back and midfield.  Last week , we had 3 left backs but now Engel must play every game. Looks like we wont have a striker , at least a senior one, fit for tomorrow so I think Greenwood may play upfront.  It's incredibly frustrating.

Wouldn't expect to see o brien. Carrick said after the game he was only on the bench to start reintegration him with the side and we didn't have anyone else. He's likely to miss out on the squad altogether for this with more options returning to the bench.

I just hope we don’t do a “typical boro” and go get beat against millwall. We should be confident and beat these comfortably

we are away and they are a good team who are in good form, they won't be an easy team to comfortably beat, maybe under the last manager but think the new manager has got them playing well at the moment

Talking Points

- Will we see any of our new signings from the off? Or injured players back into the team?

Have a feeling Carrick's hand will be forced by injuries, as well as the need to rest players.

- What is your favourite London tourist destination (apart from the new Den of course)?

- Will Watmore score against us?

If we can keep him quiet for an hour, they'll have to sub Duncan "60 Minutes" Watmore. But if our defence isn't switched on from the start there is a good chance he will.

- Which other player would you have liked us to have bought alongside Saville in a double signing from Millwall in 2018?

Harry Toffeenose...I mean Gruffalo...I mean Toffolo, with LB being a problem position for us. Maybe Jed Wallace?

- Do you remember ‘Um Ognob’?

um bongo bom sabor da selva música GIF

They drink it in the Congo, apparently...

Thought it was okay, nothing special.

They'd probably just type one then mimeograph the rest. 😁 I reckon only rich top-flight clubs would have had photocopiers back then.

Ive seen only one other copy of my teamsheet & exact fading as you go down the list of playets

As well as Joseph Gettins, who I wanted to leave on his own post, the following have played for both teams

Boro goalkeeper Pat Cuff – Made his Boro debut ahainst Bolton in a goaless draw on a tuesday evening fixture at Ayresome Park, 9th April 1974 ( my mams birthday) incidentally, the Boro had won 9 games on the bounce & hoping to reach double figures to increase their record, unfortunately a draw was the best we could get

I mentioned that stat to Pat Cuff at a former player reunion & his reply was, "well you can't blame me for that"  When John Neal came as manager, he tried both Pat Cuff & David Brown playing 10 games each, neither he thought were up to challenging Jim Platt for the No1 shirt & let both keepers leave, IMHO Pat Cuff was a far better keeper than Jim Stewart who replaced him & Dave Brown. Cuff signed for Millwall in June 1978

Colin Cooper – A legend at both clubs, a rare player who was as good in his second spell at the Boro as he was in his 1st, he wore a number of shirts, including thecNo1 jersey - Signed for Millwall in July 1991

Paul Kerr - Our first cash signing after liquidation, ironically, his final goal for the Boro was away to Millwall in a 2-2 draw on the 20th March 1991, with Boro were trailing 2-0, Paul Kerr came on as sub & scored the 1st goal, Mogga equalised, PK played one more game before his transfer to Millwall, went to the Millwall game on the supporters coach

August 1992 Brian Horne -  with Stephen Pears injured & Ian Ironside being the only recognised goalkeeper Brian Horne was signed on loan from Millwall, named as sub, wearing the No12 shirt against Ipswich at home, IIRC, the 1st Boro keeper to wear the No12 shirt & be named as sub. BH played the next 3 games, winning 2 & drawing one

Paul Wilkinson - Our 609th registered player when Lennie signed him in August 1991, made his debut home to Millwall, played 202 games, with an impressive 65 goals – Played for Millwall in 1997/98 season

Uwe Fuchs – Our final loanee at Ayresome Park, Uwe scored 9 goals for the Boro in 15 games, more or less got us over the line for automatic promotion & with Robbo not keeping him on went to Millwall in 1995 & was apparently a bit of a let down, most likely his heart was still at the Boro

Mark Crossley – At Millwall on loan in season 1998 – Played 23 games for the Boro between
2000/03

Justin Hoyte – Our 775th registered player when Southgate brought him to the Boro, he played 162 games, scoring 2 goals – Signed on loan to Millwall in 2013 & stayed till 2015

George Saville - 89th loaned player - Loaned from Millwall & after 16 games & 2 goals signed permanently - 56th at the Riverside – re-signed for Millwall

Scott McDonald – Played 116 games for the Boro between 2010/13 scoring 37 goals, - Signed for Millwall from the Boro in 2013

Diego Fabbrini – Played for Millwall in 2015 – Signed for the Boro in season 2016/17

Ryan Fredericks - On loan at Millwall in 2014 - Our 68th loaned player - Loaned from Spurs in 2014/15 our 47th at the Riverside in 2014/15 playing 17 games

Sean St Ledger – Our 39th loaned player - Loaned from Preston, player asked for loan contract to be cancelled - 17th at the Riverside, played 15 games, scoring 2 goals – Signed for Millwall on loan in 2013

Duncan Watmore - What can I say about this guy, excellent pro, we had a good manager then in Neil Warnock who could see the value he brought to the club & after signing a short term contract & bagging a few goals was rewarded with a full time contract, Michael Carrick allowed him to leave for Millwall due to the limited minutes he would get on the pitch, his choice said Carrick, he should get a good reception from the Boro fans, still has his heart at the Boro as he showed on his return to the Riverside & when subbed tried to sit on the home teams bench, as I said at the beginning a great pro, cheers Duncan

Yes he did, think he started at Grimsby. I liked Wilko, always remember his goal at St. James's.

I went down without a ticket & ended up buying one outsude the ground,  on the side terrace with a great view of Wilko running with the ball to score, lads stood with me saying he wont score, he wont score, I just told myself to keep hold of the barrier I was stood against & when the ball hit the back of the net some lads around me kicked off, I just stood there yelling inside, so hard to not jump about
