  • Rotherham at home is the only Boro match my wife has ever been to Back in Nov 2015 my younger brother passed away, he was a massive Boro fan, as big as anyone I would say A week later the 1s

Need to get the job done on Saturday then think about subbing people. We can lose on Tuesday and still be proud of what we have done - we might lose on Saturday and really regret it at the seasons end

  • They were Crooks last time out as they stole a win but Boro will go full Forss on an Ayling Rotherham side who will need the help of an Engel to get something here, 5-0 to the Boro.

We're not very good against Rotherham, definitely owe them a beating.

Two wins, two draws, and four losses in the last eight is pretty bad considering they're almost always getting relegated or have just been promoted.

Save Howson and Clarke for Chelsea. Jones could do with a rest too, might as well play Azaz and Greenwood who can't be involved in the cup.

I think he will go with similar but with Crooks up front. Forss to get half n hour off the bench and then to start against Chelsea

Flying over for this one, have an awful track record seeing us live but managed a win last season so hopefully the curse is over

You can do this @Aphex_Boro 💪

True, might be a bit early for a start.

Do any of our overseas based supporters actually have a good win rate for attended matches? 😂

Seems like the lot of you just fly over to watch us lose most of the time, haha.

We generally target the bigger games to be fair. @Aphex_Boro confidence is shattered so he’s trying to build himself back up by going to Rotherham at home 🤣

Was QPR at home last season, the ultimate confidence booster with the run they were on. Slightly nervous for this one now after the boxing day debacle

I think you should be fine this time. We have players back and are playing with confidence. Home win for me

The first 6 games I saw Boro live: 4 draws, 2 defeats.

Then I went over last March...Boro 5 Reading 0 😁🥳

I think with Birmingham game now postponed and with us having this week spare it will change how we otherwise would have lined up v Roterham.

Think Carrick will take a measures risk on playing certain players in both games which he might not have had faced Birmingham too.

I can see Howson and Jones possibly being rested. Forss I dont think is ready to start a game but might get longer off the bench than the 9 mins he did v Millwall.

Ayling Fry VDB Engel

Hackney Barlaser

Rogers Azaz Greenwood

Crooks

* without sounding arrogant, I can see Rogers and Crooks coming off in the hour mark for Jones and Forss

The NYS is a compact stadium with a small pitch which makes it easier for the Rotherham players to close down space and this is what happened at their place.  At the Riverside, I expect our players to be able to play their flowing football style and find space on the slightly bigger playing surface.  An early goal is key in this game which will make them come out and play football and if that happens we will batter them.  We are also going into the game with players returning from injury and the addition of Ayling and Azaz.

Ayling should give us a better balance at the back and Azaz vision should be be able to pick out that killer pass.  Playing these two also allows us to rest players who will be playing  against Chelsea.

I can see us winning by two clear goals. 😜

I like your style and welcome to the fourm btw!
