KJA_mfc 55 53
: Choose your 11 Dieng Ayling VDB Fry Engel Hackney O'Brien Forss Azaz Greenwood Coburn 2: Result and Boro scorers? 2-0 Boro. Forss and Lath off the bench 3: Are you happy with our January Transfer Window? I am relatively happy tbf. Came out stronger and bit of money in the bank to find that all important goalscorer in the summer in an easier market. 4: Are you satisfied with the clubs "new" bussines model? Yes. We need to be self sustainable and build for a future without an owner that bankrolls us. 5: Will Rogers find his feet at Aston Villa? I hope he is given every opportunity to do so although I can see a loan in the summer if he doesn't hit the ground running and sadly is more than likely to follow the footsteps of Ramsey and Archer. Hope he proves me wrong 6: Are you going to the game? Yes. 7: What's your favourite thing coming from Sunderland? The roads coming out
cg85 36 38
1. Like other have said, I expect a few back for his after that break we’ve had. Dieng Ayling Fry RVDB Engel Howson Hackney Jones Azaz Greenwood Forss 2. 2-0 Forss at the double 3. Fairly, like half the EFL we could’ve done with one of those mythical creatures a striker. 4. Again fairly, happy that we’re trying to secure the long term future of the club and also not panic buying. Still a bit of a kick in the teeth losing players though. It’s a fine balance to strike for us fans. 5. He comes across as a confidence player, so they need to integrate him in the first team squad asap, a couple of decent sub appearances could see him do well. I worry that if he has a bad game, end up in the under 23’s he might not be seen for a while, and become one of the typical stories of someone moving to the prem too quick. 6. Yup The A19 southbound (and a shout to captain Grant)
OldManGravz 1,676 5.6k
Our brother is a Sunderland fan, there's a big group of them walking from the Stadium of S***e to the Riverside overnight on Saturday to get there in time for sundays game, in support of a Boro fan they went to school with who needs rehab for a stroke he had. Hes only in his 30s. Can see Boro have posted about this a few hours ago but thought I would share it in case any of you would like to help out https://www.mfc.co.uk/news/2024/february/02/support-the-walk-for-chris-wood/
Humpty 3,857 9.5k
I really hope Jones is back in time for this so we can play Forss up top. That would make a huge difference to our attack.
BoroSmoggie 3,164 3.8k
The way Sunderland play should suit us in the way they won’t sit back with 11 men behind the ball. I think they are the teams we struggle against the most. They are very dangerous in the transition though and usually leave Jack Clarke on the half way line to break away. Him vs Ayling does worry me so I hope we have a plan to try and stop Clarke getting 1v1.
BoroSmoggie 3,164 3.8k
Be interesting to see who Carrick chooses to partner Hackney. Barlaser, Howson and O’Brien all good options imo.
AnglianRed 6,504 15.8k
1: Choose your 11 2: Result and Boro scorers? Have a weird feeling about this one. Could be a real blood n' guts match...especially if the ref lets a lot of stuff go. Expect there will be a few goals. Prediction: Middlesbrough 3 - 2 Sunderland Boro goalscorers: Jones, Greenwood and Forss bagging a late stoppage-time winner. 3: Are you happy with our January Transfer Window? Well we tried to strengthen in the areas we really needed it, so fairly. 4: Are you satisfied with the clubs "new" business model? Dunno about "satisfied". Its how the club needs to operate in order to survive. In that sense I'm okay with it, but it is sad to think we won't get to see the fruits of our labour in terms of players we develop. Seems it will mostly be bigger clubs who benefit from our efforts. 5: Will Rogers find his feet at Aston Villa? Well he's got a good coach in Emery...I think he'll do okay. Can see him and Watkins forming a good partnership. 6: Are you going to the game? No...scared I'll get beat up by angry Mackems! 7: What's your favourite thing coming from Sunderland? I would say Nissan but I don't particularly like those.
KeithLambsFaxMachine 773 460
1: Choose your 11 Have we had any updates on who's available? Not seen any press conference. 2: Result and Boro scorers? 2-1: Jones and Forss 3: Are you happy with our January Transfer Window? Obviously I'd have preferred if we'd got a striker, however, I'm pretty okay so far. 4: Are you satisfied with the clubs "new" bussines model? No more Guardiola and Gestede? I sure am! I like seeing players develop and improve, we're seeing some pretty special talents at the moment. 5: Will Rogers find his feet at Aston Villa? Hope so. I hope he gets his chance, and I hope it doesn't come quite as quickly as it did with us. Out of position and brand new to the club, it was never a good start and home fans do take some winning over if you don't hit the ground running. 6: Are you going to the game? Nah, live miles away. 7: What's your favourite thing coming from Sunderland? The A19.

BoroSmoggie 3,164 3.8k
Sounds like Jones is going to be a way away from being back involved. I’d imagine at least a month. Think we might like up as follows. Coburn Greenwood Azaz Forss Hackney Barlaser Engel Clarke Fry Ayling Glover Pretty much a toss up between Rav, Clarke and Fry for who starts. Same goes for Barlaser, O’Brien and Howson. Also wouldn’t be surprised to see Crooks starting.
macapes 2,142 2.4k
The Boro boss said: “Manu isn't massively far away, still a little bit away yet. A few weeks. But it will be weeks rather than days. Izzy is a little bit further off but Seny is closer. He’s kind of just getting back to training. It’s funny in a way because he was due to go away and now he’s just getting back to training. ELL - weeks Jones - more weeks
Neverbefore 12,330 26.6k
Sounds about 3 weeks for ELL and 4 weeks plus for Jones. I wonder if Jones trying to play on when he was injured will have set him back further. Once again, *** you hugill.
