Middlesbrough V Sunderland 1-1 (Forss)

Recommended Posts

Big game this to rebuild fans enthusiasm as I'm beginning to get abit depressed about the boro like after that terrible 2nd leg against Chelsea and rubbish ending to the window. If we beat Sunderland all is rosey again. Losing isn't worth thinking about.

1. Choose your 11

Honestly not sure who's fit enough to play. Is O'Brien ready to resume action? Is Coburn? Will McGree be back?

2: Result and Boro scorers?

I predict a riot. Sorry, a score draw. Let's say a Desmond. As for scorers, see above.

3: Are you happy with our January Transfer Window?

Not at all. Two short term loans to plug long term injuries and a young prospect best described as having potential, while selling one of our few players with real talent after just five months of competitive action. That does not even come close to tackling our squad's injuries, inconsistencies and inadequacies. Play-offs are gone for this season, which means a lot of extra expectation has been heaped on next season.

4: Are you satisfied with the clubs "new" bussines model?

I appreciate the attempt at self-sufficiency after years of indiscriminate largesse, but selling players five months in doesn't really give us scope to develop anyone, capitalise on their development, or mount a concerted promotion campaign.

5: Will Rogers find his feet at Aston Villa?

No. I think he'll end up as a sub in most games, and regret leaving. See also Akpom, C.

6: Are you going to the game?

Yes, though I'm a lot less enthusiastic about going after the Rotherham/Chelsea games and the transfer window. If we don't start strongly, or if we concede early, the fans could become pretty restive.

7: What's your favourite thing coming from Sunderland?

George Clarke. Always enjoy his shows, especially Amazing Spaces.

2 iconic Georges home hat tricks v the Mackems

27/9/1913 – George Elilott scored his 2nd Boro HT when he scored the clubs 12th home HT & 8th at Ayresome Park, 14th in total

17/10/1936 – George Camsell scored his 12th & final home Boro hat trick when he scored the clubs 50th home HT & 46th at Ayresome Park, 60th in total

One really good thing to come out of Sunderland, cheers for that

Cause Jordan hugill is a ***

That was one issue,  throughout the season we've suffered longterm injuries to various players, gone are the days of losing a player for a game or two, more like 2, 3 months at a time

So we only have a half fit Coburn for the foreseeable, great stuff.

but ELL put up a photo on social media of him playing a game for us?

its ok we dont play with strikers no more anyways, just me and my midfield from now on

Someone was saying we had the training pitches re done in the summer and have stopped using them recently because apparently they’re to hard.

Maybe with all the running on hard ground, once they get on softer pitches the muscles are stretching that bit further than they’re trained, so they’re getting pulls and stuff idk just what I guess might have happened.

we have also had a lot of bad injuries that have came from collisions, but maybe it still plays a part somehow.
