Better get used to the feeling though it declines in time the older you get because you have seen it so many times😔

Yea can go with that, I was gutted when their goal went in & TBH with the poor sub decisions I could see us becoming under pressure more & more, which resulted in their poor goal

But once the whistle went I filed it under another annoying Boro result & looked ahead to the next game

Still *** off with the way Boro threw away two points by not being professional.

In the 5 plus decades I've been following Boro you gradually develop some immunity to it, only some, but it does help to minimise the extremes of the symptoms. It's the foundation of "Typical Boro".

Which can be translated in to typical football for most clubs

At least it was only a one goal lead, remember that time we were 4-1 up against Norwich with 10 mins to go and still managed to draw? 🤣

God, don't. I remember watching Match of the Day that night with a Rangers fan, neither of us knowing the score, and his volcanic laughter as it got to 4-4. Arguably our worst capitulation of the Riverside era.

Depends on the Club and the expectations of their fans, reasonable or otherwise. Most of my time has seen us in the second tier, going out of business at it's lowest point and the temporary highs of Jack Charlton, Juninho, Rav etc., Cardiff, then it ending in Eindhoven little did we know at the time.

I'm sure Chelsea fans are a depressed lot at the minute after their glory years and Spurs fans forever the optimists. I remember vaguely Liverpool pre Shankly and who would have thought the ride their fans were about to embark on in the mid sixties. I guess Rotherham fans like Plymouth etc. just accept their lot while fans of Darlo must despair.

Carrow Road wasn't it? I remember listening to it on the radio and the unbelievable happened.

And then look ahead to the next game as history repeats itself once again
