I just hope Carrick sets us up to win the game and get the three points rather than sticking to his principles of playing us into trouble from the back. If it works great but Beale will have them chasing us down and closing outlets off from the kick off, harrying us and trying to force nervous passes. The net effect of that is that they will be vulnerable to long clearances if we utilise it.

Dont need to go route one. You just need to play out of their press and you will have space. Thats how playing out from back works. Its a double edge sword in that way. It only realy works against teams that press, and at the same time its very vulnerable if you dont nanage it. As we saw against Chelsea. But we were also very deep that game. It worked better in the first game when we dident start so damn back down....

Watching that today though mate, he was "born" offside that lad.

Someone on FMTTM reckons it's Glover, Ayling, Fry, VDB, Engel, Barlaser, Howson, Hackney, Azaz, Forss, Greenwood.

Hackney in as a forward I reckon.

Hackney as striker, no doubt.

Happy with VDB playing there, Aylings performed well in the games hes played so far, decent team though my concern is no Jones, hes so vital to us, we'll miss his defence duties

I was impressed with greenwood's defensive performance vs Rotherham, particularly in the first half. Worked his socks off. Hopefully he can get more consistent with it.

If that's the team I think it's Hackney, azaz and Greenwood behind forss.

I thought it would be Greenwood up top, Hackney on the left, Forss on the right.  Like the set up against Chelsea.
