I think Brighton thrashed them first time round and they've just done the same to them. It looks more like they have learned and adapted to the division.

Was about to say something similar, I think Edwards has learned to adjust and adopt new tactics which is why they are punching above their weight. The points deductions elsewhere have helped but as Burnley and Sheffield have found out unless you learn and change then it's a long hard season. Wilder with his outdated one season wonder tactic was found out previously but they are just repeating the same mistake and getting even poorer results. The ability to change and out think opponents especially with weaker resources separates the good/average Managers from the really good/great ones. They will still be odds on to go down but at least they are making a fight of it and showing some pride and belief. Surprised at how poor the two automatic teams have been in comparison to Luton especially Burnley and Kompany but maybe having to cope when things don't go your way is difficult for a Manager who has had a career winning everything. Downsouth 6,736 36.2k
All I know is that we have to get back to winning ways especially at home because being honest we have been pretty naff of late bordering on embarrasing at times. WBA at home seems a long time ago!
TeaCider24 13,967 18.6k
Potentially win or bust, I'd say. We're in such poor form that I just can't see us making the play-offs if we slip up in yet another home game. I'd still think it was unlikely we make it even if we win, but you've got to live in hope. It's far too early to end up with another Warnock season of absolutely nothing, so I direly hope we do win.
wilsoncgp 9,488 19.5k
I think there's still enough time left in the season that we could drop points in this one and recover our position but our form has to significantly change either way to put us in a strong position. No time like the present and all that.
Plastic Goat 171 293
If we don't get three points on Saturday then that's the season over. Our home form is abysmal. City have just played a cup replay into extra time. They are a mid table side like us with some reasonable players. Massive error in not addressing the striker issue. Of course we might go on a storming run, one team usually does, but it's not something you can plan for. To be honest, I think our main focus has to be on developing our team for next season. That probably means getting us much game time for Azaz, Van Den Berg, and any other players we feel will be here next season to build around while sorting out whatever it is that's causing us so many injuries. If we go on a good run on the back of it, great.

I'm sure that even though I'm relatively unnerved about the idea of mid-table obscurity this season that the players would hate that.

Neverbefore 12,326 26.6k
Mcgree played on the right when ramsey was in the team last season so it wouldn't surprise me to see that with forss up top. but I suspect Carrick was pretty happy with greenwood's performance up there vs Sunderland so will continue with that. Any word on forss and greenwood's fitness after being taken off at the weekend?

Humpty 3,855 9.5k
McGree doesn't seem as effective off the right. I'd ensure he was playing off the left and probably play Silvera on the right especially if Forss is up top. I'm not the biggest fan of Silvera either. Think he has to find a way to get our strongest 11 on the pitch at the minute, and it certainly doesn't include Silvera. I'd probably play O'Brien in the middle over Barlaser though
