Preston v Boro 2-1 (Azaz)

Recommended Posts

Feel so much apathy for the club at the minute, and at the same time anger! Season ticket prices are a joke, we sold 2 attacking players without replacing them, failed to get that all important striker. We’ve turned into a selling club with no ambition. Maybe I’m just ranting but if the season finished tomorrow it wouldn’t be a bad thing.

Aye it doesnt matter what you change we are so far short that you're looking at a really big summer. even with Mcgree back and Dieng in there and Lenihan you're still 3 good players from actually doing anything. The fact we threw this season to potentially go for it next one is dubious considering its likely we will also have to replace Mcgree and hackney next year.

I am so frustrated this season - Carrick has been let down by recruitment 100%.
Ive said it a few times now but to have so few strikers on the books is nothing short of criminal.

What a shambles.

I could understand the recruitment regarding young players, who are our own and we could develop, however the 1 area you need quality is the final 3rd.

If you don’t score goals you’ll end up conceding.

It’s such a let down from last season when I can honestly say I saw some of the best footy I’ve ever seen as a Boro fan.

Just massively deflated right now but we’ll carry on.

Massive off season coming up - recruitment has to step up.

You can never have too many midfielders and left backs. They're like a clean pair of knickers, you just never know when you'll be glad you had them on!

Imo we STILL need the following:

2 x Right back

2 x Centre mids

2 x attacking mids/ no.10.

2 x wingers

2 x strikers

10 players minimum.

The bin list:

Ayling, Thomas, Greenwood and O'Brien (loans)

Djiksteel and Smith

Silvera

The MUST keep list

Dieng

VDB

Clarke

Fry

Bangura

Jones

McGree

Hackney

ELL

Azaz

10 players. The rest I'm completely apathetic about.

I think Hackney is going nowhere. His stock will have dropped in the last 2 months and we've shown we won't sell on the cheap. We'll bank on him getting back to his best next season and going for big big money the following year.

Gibson needs to come out and give the fans answers, ridiculous ticket prices and not investing back from 8 figure sales is utterly disgusting. Throwing a season with 4 months to go and wanting even more change in his pockets, pathetic from a local “hero”

Give your head a shake. There's no money coming out of the club and into anyone's pockets.

So you want 4 strikers (plus forss) for 1 position?

The thing is our pattern of play is as good as it was last season the difference is the personal can't finish their chances as a consequence we lose to sides we completely dominate for large periods of the game. But we all knew this was going to happen when we never signed a striker or a winger in janaury so the season has gone despite us being in a great postion at the start of janaury. They simply has been no ambition like they was last year to get us promoted and it's not even due to a lack of funds with Rogers money we should of signed 3 or 4 players really

I know how you’re feeling - such a shame after last season.
