Been out since Preston 10 days ago mate. Not sure what the issue is but we never seem to find out what it is with Fry. The man is the current form of Ayala, who would disappear from sight at a moment's notice with a random injury in the new year.
Hammy legend 1,259 1.4k
It might be Engel but if Thomas is playing ahead of him, I reckon Carrick isn't sold on him. If we are playing a loan signing there, it suggests that we might be looking for yet another left back. There is also rumoured interest in Bangura.

Thomas isn't here to just play second fiddle either, mate. He's a young lad with supposedly a lot of potential. I suspect what's really going on is there actually isn't an awful lot between them in terms of outright quality and I think the two of them are different kinds players. I think from what I've seen that Thomas is a bit more energetic, he's a bit more lightweight but nippier in and around tight areas. We saw him get into the box a couple of times last time he played, I think, once from play on the edge of the box. With Engel, I think he's a bit more reserved, bit stronger but also a bit slower in chasing back. But Engel also has a good pass on him that might be more useful in certain situations. I think we might be considering the pace we need against this Plymouth side. If I remember rightly, they got down our sides quite often at their place so maybe we're hoping that pace will be helpful defending down our left side.

beanflickingchampion 57 536
Plymouth have scored more goals than us this season, playing a back three might just stop us from conceding 2 or 3 goals per game, hit teams on the break more and we have very few CMs left fit. 🤷🏻♂️
