Stoke v Boro 2-0

Wondering what the reaction will be like across the boards tonight if we lose this 🤣

I hope not

However, I dunno if it's been mentioned anywhere else as haven't caught up on the threads .. did anyone notice Carrick being a bit tetchy in his pre-game presser?? Never seen him irate or anything in his time here, has always been a very calm fella doesn't tend to lose it, always liked that about him ..  but I dunno, just noticed in his past few interviews his mannerism changing

I know obviously it's tough at the moment it's only natural when he has to answer annoying questions in the heat of things he is going to respond a certain way

But I dunno, coupled with the rumours about Keiran Scott, the Dieng carry on and even Carrick himself leaving this week it makes me wonder what we're going to do end of the season

Thought we were trying to build something here and it's barely been five minutes .. I think MC has almost over-achieved personally, considering the squad he has and injury situations so far .. need to improve obviously defensively but I'd rather he stayed and got the backing he needs

But anyway

#UTFB and all that

Carrick's about to sign an extension, I expect it's just the bad run of form.

Congratulations VDB another reason to convince him he made the right chouce coming here over the amkubt of top quality teams chasing him

The final v Plymouth I looked across to see VDB with his hands on his knees utterly getted & now captain

This is an exert of an interview following a Middlesbrough defeat. I'd be inclined to draw value from this as he'll be given 'All' the metrics from various 'medium's'. Like I said I don't know Carrick's current stats so it'd be interesting to see them when you find them. My preference is more possession, more goals, more wins!

“We dominated the game without the ball, which is what we wanted to do,” said Morison. “We knew that when Middlesbrough have more of the ball, they tend to not win as many games. The two games they’ve won (against Swansea and Sunderland), they’ve not dominated the ball. We knew we weren’t going to dominate the ball, and we didn’t want to do that. There were times where we were happy to let Middlesbrough have possession.”

So, to paraphrase, Cardiff’s game plan was effectively, ‘Give Middlesbrough the ball, let them do nothing with it, then nip in to steal it and score’. The fact it worked three times before half-time certainly suggests there are chronic weaknesses within the Teessiders’ set-up that need addressing.

Sorry I’m a little confused here.  Morison wasn’t Cardiff manager whilst Carrick has been Boro manager. Those comments must have been while Wilder was still the manager.  Under Carrick we’ve played Cardiff twice, had just over 60% possession both times, and beaten them 2-0 at home and 3-1 away from home.

The season for me is over win, lose or draw and I'd prefer the season simply ended today given the choice. Too many injuries, too little ambition. Anyone making comments of x amount of points off the playoffs at any point is delusional.

That said, hoping we can play well, thrilled to see Glover not on the pitch and delighted for VDB.

Greenwood in for azaz is the only move I don't agree with.

Azaz gets involved in build up play, greenwood is usually *** anonymous outside of like 5 minutes.

We must still be considering taking him permanently otherwise I can’t see the point in starting him.  Same goes for Thomas at left back I guess.
