  • I'm glad that Carrick switched to the 5-2-1-2. Though, we were still opened up with some good play by Norwich at times before their sending off. For the first 30 minutes it was clear that Norwich we'r

The thought of you giving first aid is frankly terrifying!   "This man needs 100g of Walkers Max Paprika - STAT!" "Press the empty packet against his stab wound!" 😁

We'll be up 9th after winning 3 in a row.

Howson is going to goad the opposition to attack him in each game.

You're as mental as the radio call in people then

Lol, I don't mean for factual stuff.  I just mean for team news type stuff.

Thats a tactic I can get behind. He knows his body won't last much longer so he'll just be cannon fodder for the rest of the season.

Well its certainly a welcome result and 3 points closer to guaranteeing safety, but I don't think we should be under any illusions about Boro turning a corner...just yet.

Boro undeniably enjoyed some good fortune with the sending off. If it had remained 11 v 11 its very likely Norwich would have gone home with the 3 points and we would all be moaning about another crap performance.

A good performance tonight (with an asterisk), when our players were under less pressure for 60-odd minutes. Lets see how we fare at the weekend.

Doesn't matter if it came from luck we needed that desperately won't make us a great side again but might just help some of the players steady the panic a bit. Could be a big moment in terms of avoiding relegation

Satisfactory result.

We won, as we should against 10 men for the majority of the match.

Stops the rot, but absolutely loads to improve on from that first half performance.

Definitely, and though Norwich have had their part to play, as well as the red card, I'm more convinced by this performance than the Leicester one. We've had to make better use of our possession than the Leicester game. Hoping that being able to get the ball down and play a bit more will help our near future more.

Big 3 points either way to go towards securing the future at this level. Hopefully tonight is just enough of a sign that there's nothing to be too worried about.

I really don't think relegation was ever a serious threat.  We were always likely to win at a game or two at the very least between now and the end of the season.  I can't see everyone below us going on fantastic runs at the same time even if we helped them along a bit.

Let's hope we take this confidence boost and use it wisely at the weekend. If we get beaten on Saturday, tonight won't count for much. If we win, tonight could prove to be the catalyst that re-ignites our season and makes us look a more appealing prospect to potential summer signings.

How appropriate that the stadium DJ is currently playing "Living on a Prayer"...
