  • I'm glad that Carrick switched to the 5-2-1-2. Though, we were still opened up with some good play by Norwich at times before their sending off. For the first 30 minutes it was clear that Norwich we'r

Which day do you learn how to say "not tonight mate", and "no trainers"?

The thought of you giving first aid is frankly terrifying!   "This man needs 100g of Walkers Max Paprika - STAT!" "Press the empty packet against his stab wound!" 😁

We'll never know what would have happened if it stayed 11v11 but if those first 30 minutes were anything to go by we were in for another deflating game.

Still, we desperately needed a win and we got that. Hopefully we can kick on a bit now and improve our performance levels. utfb

Lets do the good first, finishes for the goals we're decent and nice 3 points for us, this should give little confidence going into qpr and for next home game.

That red card swung the game, I mean *** first 30 (I know I said 20 earlier) looked like we weren't capable of having a shot or putting in tackle just let them have it.

Well, hopefully if there was any pressure on for the QPR game then it's gone now.

Could say there was more pressure on after defeating the mighty Canaries...plus QPR lost at home tonight. Might raise expectations in some quarters.

Though you're right its less important that we win. But still a game you'd hope we get something from.

Let's hope we take this confidence boost and use it wisely at the weekend. If we get beaten on Saturday, tonight won't count for much. If we win, tonight could prove to be the catalyst that re-ignites our season and makes us look a more appealing prospect to potential summer signings.

How appropriate that the stadium DJ is currently playing "Living on a Prayer"...

Win our game in hand and could be 7 points off the play offs 😎

Definitely, and though Norwich have had their part to play, as well as the red card, I'm more convinced by this performance than the Leicester one. We've had to make better use of our possession than the Leicester game. Hoping that being able to get the ball down and play a bit more will help our near future more.

Big 3 points either way to go towards securing the future at this level. Hopefully tonight is just enough of a sign that there's nothing to be too worried about.

I don't think it was more convincing to be honest.  When they went down to ten men they stopped pressing us, and that's what allowed us to play.  No more daft mistakes inside our own half, no losing the ball in dangerous positions.  They dropped right back, that suits us down to the ground really.

Edit - actually that doesn't sound right. It was a more convincing win because once they went down to ten they offered nothing at all, and we could control the game.  But the Leicester win was in what I'd call a proper game, and the game tonight wasn't a proper game after half an hour.

That was much needed. Only took 3 months...

Phew we needed those three points you could almost hear the air hiss out of the pressure cooker when the third went in

I am not usually one to be negative after a win and I am very happy with the 3pts as they absolutely massive given our situation of late.

However, we were truly awful up until the sending off which is a massive worry and a sign we are showing little signs of improving.

I am watching the QPR game and they look excellent in terms of they energy and hunger. I fully expect us to get turned over there on Saturday.

Huge 3pts though. Need to find another 6pts and we can move on from this bang mediocre season.

I feel slightly embarrassed to celebrate our goals here as that was one of the worst sending offs you will ever see. Norwich with 11 men would probably be out of sight now but I guess we will take anything we can.

I dint see it that way...He was sent off for kicking out at Howson not for the tackle...I think you'll find it'll be a three game ban too

Watching the QPR game. No way are we winning that game. Just getting in early.
