But we did so that was why Azaz didn't start 🤷‍♂️

He was also dropped for Greenwood the game prior.

  • I'm glad that Carrick switched to the 5-2-1-2. Though, we were still opened up with some good play by Norwich at times before their sending off. For the first 30 minutes it was clear that Norwich we'r

Which day do you learn how to say "not tonight mate", and "no trainers"?

The thought of you giving first aid is frankly terrifying!   "This man needs 100g of Walkers Max Paprika - STAT!" "Press the empty packet against his stab wound!" 😁

I could not give two f*cks about the system or who is playing right now.

Right now we just need points and once we have enough, we can then worry about systems and personnel.

Right now just get the required number of points on the board, dont care how we achieve that in the short term.

Not really a way to make progress.  I suppose it depends on whether you believed relegation was a real prospect or not though.  I didn't so I'm less panicked about getting a result however we can, and I'm still thinking long term.

We're not going down, there's nothing to worry about now.

We have 11 games left and already on 47 points, almost every else has 10, we're not going to lose them all and all the teams below us aren't going to win them all.

Could say there was more pressure on after defeating the mighty Canaries...plus QPR lost at home tonight. Might raise expectations in some quarters.

Though you're right its less important that we win. But still a game you'd hope we get something from.

QPR drew tonight

I actually was worried after Saturday

And I agree, my current way is not a good way to make progress. After internationals in final 8 games I would definitely look at systems, personnel etc with one eye firmly on next season

On a side note, anybody else see that Jordan Hugill was in the away end tonight? Surely that means he is an enemy of Teesside after this and the Jones stuff.

Much needed 3 points. You could feel the relief around the ground at FT.

Been a while since we've coasted to victory like that. Norwich had no fight after the red card.

Howson showed his experience to win that red card. If it'd been a barlaser on, he wouldn't have gone in that hard and caused a reaction. Won us the game that piece of grit.

But it is a start

A start to what exactly?  It's points, gifted by the referee.  But it doesnt change our underlying issues, there's nothing learned from the game (other than don't set up with wingbacks and sit back), we showed no sign of being in the game until there red, and come Saturday we're back to square one.
🤷‍♂️

Walking home & my son in law said they're saying it wasn't a sending off, I said, I don't give two hoots, not bothered if the ref got it 100% wrong, it's football, its happened before & it'll happen again, most likely this season, the ref will be awful to us making poor decisions all the time, tonight it went for us

But its great to walk out of the ground after a win, a good win, 3 points & a nother double over Norwich

O'Brien was my MOTM, Howson had a good game too, if I'm been critical O'Brien made made one error when he didn't play it Latte Lath when he had the chance, within a minute they took the lead

I dint see it that way...He was sent off for kicking out at Howson not for the tackle...I think you'll find it'll be a three game ban too

Agree to disagree on that one . Would have been raging if it was the other way round but you take your luck where you can. Have to say  that as dominant as Norwich were before the sending off they were equally as poor afterwards so I will happily take the 3 points.
