I’m honestly not sure if it’s 7 or 9 for Lath. Either way I’d say it’s pretty good considering he hasn’t exactly looked that great and been in and out of the team. Solid 1 in 3 ratio. Put him in a more consistent team and the extra game time, he’d be in the 15-20 goals bracket.

Just checked mate…

Its 9 in total for LL and 6 of them in league. If he can get in to double figures that will be a big boost for him and us heading in to next season.

For Forss to hit double figures from a wide attacking position in two seasons in a row would also be brilliant. Especially as he also missed a good chunk of the season.

Delighted with the win but these sorts of comments baffle me. We are no where near good enough to threaten the top 6, Hull, Coventry, Norwich (with 11 men) are superior to us to name 3.

I think it was probably said tongue in cheek and think you're right. However when we were 9 points clear of the bottom 3 people were saying we are right in the relegation battle. It would be nice just to see us get a little run together now that the pressure is off. I think there's too much to do get there but it seems we are finally getting players back or close to returning. I think our first 11 is a top 6 team unfortunately I don't think it's been available at all this season.

I suppose it depends on how you read the comments because they’re only words written down and you can’t know what I was feeling or intending.

I was joking.

Caught up in the euphoria of a really decent win. That’s all

that said, I’d love us to make the playoffs and it’s still mathematically possible!

Sorry i feel bad for dismissing your comment - nothing at all wrong with having euphoria from a win, i feel a bit numb from what's been a bit of a frustrating season. Like you I'd love us to have an exciting end to the season!

Don’t feel bad mate it’s all good. It has been bloody frustrating I will give you that. There’s some confidence around the place now though. Maybe, just maybe…

Kind of mad the difference 2 results makes to the perspective. Even just looking up rather than down is a boost. Win the Brum game and we would be top of the pack chasing the group of 4 currently battling it out for 5th and 6th. It's not necessarily a reason to be optimistic this season but it would put us back into the territory of 'still being in it' for the time being.

I can't see past it being West Brom and one of Norwich or Hull actually finishing in the position to possibly get battered by the leftovers from the top 4 battle. Even in the case we somehow made it, I couldn't see us getting anywhere in the playoffs.

But to be honest, top 10-12 is where I expected we would probably be this season. It's still a platform to build from if we can put some more substance into our recruitment this summer and hold onto a couple of key players.

Hopefully there's enough left in this season for people to put whatever concerns they have about Carrick to one side for the time being. Can't go into next season with a fanbase who are unsure if the right man is in charge. Next season is continuing to look like a big one for any team wanting to push their luck a bit. If Hull go up this season having done that in January, fair play to them. I don't think it was our time to make any of those kind of moves though.

Hull have had a good January, as we did last January

Im just looking at us to win as many games as we can to finish a respectable 8th, 9th & with the injuries we've suffered this season, something we have to look at, then maybe, we've done okish

Come the summer with the price hike I want/hope, to see investment in the team, no project players, PL/Championship players coming in, because Gibbo knows, as a business, if you stand still you go backwards

Talking about sales, Tav, Rogers but the next one who we dont want to sell, at the moment, will go for more than those two sales, VDB, he doesn't need the captaincy to show how good he is, the lad is top drawer & you know what the good thing is, he loves it here, we were the only English club that was told of his interests to move abroad & after talking to the Boro his mind was made up, as a club we have to show the same ambition as our modern day Willie Maddren in the summer, show VDB why he chose the Boro was right for him

They say a week is a long time in politics, it's even longer in football. At 5pm on Wednesday, we were wondering if we would pick up enough points to avoid relegation and dreading being turned over by a resurgent Norwich. At 5pm on Saturday, people were starting to calculate how many points we would need to pick up to have a chance at the playoffs.

Really, we're a classic mid-table team this season. The hope is that enough of the projects we signed last summer will come good to lay the foundation for a promotion push next season. We're also hoping that the difficulties we faced this season will have taught Carrick and co valuable lessons and shone a light on how we need to improve the coaching side.

Watching our goals back from yesterday I noticed that for both of our goals there was a QPR player sat on his backside bemoaning being fouled/injured etc.

As a Manager I'd be absolutely apoplectic watching it and telling my players in no uncertain manner than while the ball is in play get off your arris and keep going until the Ref blows or the ball goes out of play at least. More so when you are in a relegation scrap.

Granted one of them was just outside our 18 yard box but he went from lying prostrate to sitting up and watching the goal.

Strange one as QPR have been really well coached since they changed managers. Manager would be livid.
