BORO v Blackburn Rovers 0-0

Recommended Posts

Would be nice to get another 3 points before the break.

Can (will) we win again?

Blackburn are in poor form. Only 2 points from their last 6 away games. Near the bottom of any form table you care to choose. So we should....

Will we see another "sensible" performance?

I reckon he'll stick to as similar a team/formation as he can. If it ain't broke.

Line up prediction?

same as last game.

Who is your favourite player to represent both clubs and why isn't it Rudi Gestede?

Everyone has said Ripley, but I'll go for one I actually saw - Daniel Ayala. Him and Gibson were rocks at the back for a couple of seasons.

Quotes from Blackburn website

" Boro are struggling to pay staff wages "

"Seems Boro are another club teetering on the edge of financial breakdown"

Do they know something we don't or aren't being told

Probably just inferring that from our season ticket price rises.

The reason given was because of the rise in minimum wage.

I doubt it's because it's Middlesbrough.

They've won 1 in their last 16, they'd probably dread playing Rotherham right now.

With that record the one team you would want to play is Boro add a striker who hasn’t scored in ages and a bookie wouldn’t lay bets.

blackburn at 3/1 looks like printing money.

Totally agree, typical Boro

Apparently we have not beaten Blackburn at home in our last 8 attempts. Drawn 6 and lost 2. Hopefully that changes tomorrow..

Stick with 5-4-1 counter attack and we have a chance.

If we want to retain an interest in the run-in, three points are essential tomorrow, so if we can name an unchanged side then stick with it and cross fingers we don't turn in a typical Boro show. Would settle for winning by a 95th minute own goal but given the ref anything is possible, maybe he could pull a hamstring or something just to be different 🙂

I know we have an awful record against them at home but maybe the Mowbray factor can be taken out of the equation.

However not winning today will not surprise me in any way shape or form.

Need to decide what beverage to partake during the match
