Fully agree but Saturday's fixture see Norwich playing Ipswich, Hull away at Cardiff, Preston away at Watford and Coventry home to Leeds.

If I was a gambler I'd put money on defeats or draws for the four of them. Cardiff blow hot and cold but are only 2 points off Hull and would overtake them with a win, Preston on paper have the easiest task away to Watford but Vicarage Road is never an easy fixture. Leeds are on a roll and I think Coventry will struggle and the same with Norwich in the Tractor Derby.

Should we beat Swansea it would look even more tantalising on Saturday evening but I still think we have left it too late and will rue those Rotherham and Plymouth games.

I looked at the odds and it's giving us about a 4% chance of finishing in the playoffs or it'd happen once every 25 years. So definitely not out of the realms of possibility, but I'd just be happy if we finish the season strongly.

I'm one ahead of you 🤣

Scary where the time goes and how quickly, Oxford bags and Platform shoes to comfy Jeans and Sketchers.

Am 5 ahead of you guys two tone denim trousers, loafers (with obligatory segs on the heels) Ben Sherman shirts and Crombie coats and I have to say a very trendy image it portrayed.

We would also have to take into account that Hull Preston and Coventry would also need to perform poorly and drop quite a few of their available points too. It's nice to still be in with a shout mathematically considering where we were at the start of the season and how people were looking over their shoulders at relegation a month ago, but there's no chance we can finish in the playoffs realistically is my view.

It's unlikely but you never know.  The others are obviously a concern as well but if Norwich don't mess up then it doesn't matter anyway.  I don't think any of the other's form is that good at the moment, they all seem a bit patchy right now, which is what we'd need to continue obviously.

I’ve said a few times while we are in contention still we should just enjoy the fact that there is something to play for. It’s not likely enough to ‘take it serious’ it would just be an unexpected bonus really if we did nick 6th place. People have said ‘right that’s it for us then’ about 5 times already since January and each time we manage to get back within touching distance so who knows. If we do then amazing, if we don’t then who cares, it’s just another season in the championship, hardly anything to start crying over.

It would actually be ‘typical Boro’ if we did pull it off this season after the last 2 seasons of actually looking good and failing. Doing it in the season that feels like our worst since the woodgate season, I don’t think a season has ever felt like it’s dragged on for so long lol.
