Carrick is limited by his options but I really don't like the way that Gilbert can't get a start no matter what. I can only assume Finch is injured. Although Engel can't have any complaints about being dropped but I see no reason to play Thomas unless Engel is actually incapable of playing a whole game. 

I'm finding it hard to be positive about Carrick's judgement at this point. Hopefully the game will prove me wrong.

Mentioned this before Marcus we can not be made fools of today but our form against bottom teams is a joke in itself!

I think Thomas for Engel says that Carrick isn't impressed with our left backs . We have had 4  specialist left backs this year - Coulson, Engel, Bangura and Thomas,  plus O'Brien and VDB have had a go. Now, I have Bangura comes good but if he doesn't then what ? Sign another in the summer?
