Hull v Boro 2-2 (Latte Lath, Azaz)

Recommended Posts

Start of the season killed us, and then that bad run after Christmas.

This was a good result and the 2nd half performance showed character.

Every point matters in this league, right from the start. Not just after 10 games.

Have to sign O’Brien permanently, he was absolutely brilliant there

I hadn’t been completely sold on him yet but he’s been much better recently and tonight I thought he was our best player. Don’t think he lost the ball once. On the basis of that performance I wouldn’t be at all dissatisfied if we made it a permanent deal.

Considering how bad it looked like it might get at one point this is an ending i can live with. Seen some positives appear towards the end of the season hopefully a few less injuries and a few big signings in the summer as well as keeping the main guys and it could be a winner.

Oh well. The season is effectively over. Just not enough quality in the team. Need a big summer and get a lot of signings right.

Got to beat Leeds though so I hope the players aren't viewing it as season over.  If we could stitch those buggers up that would be very nice.

Not a bad result in isolation. Crazy to think that we didn't even have to be that much better than we have been this season. Just a couple of wins from that first awful period of the season (which would still have been a poor start) and we'd be right in the mix.

Now it is over, I'd actually not be too upset if Ipswich beat us, just to keep them in the automatic slots ahead of Leeds.

Then beat Leeds to help them again.

Obviously would be happy if we got a result against Ipswich instead though, I'm not daft.

On paper that's a good point. However I think that's both our seasons over. I wonder what impact it has done to Hull who look like they're going to fail to make the playoffs despite big investment.

Good to see Latte Lath carry on his goalscoring form and Azaz getting on the scoresheet. It makes you wonder if Lath had been fit the whole season where we would be now. Likewise with Dieng. Persisting with Glover when he was available also has been costly.

All we have left is the opportunity to have a say in who goes up automatically. It would be nice if we can beat Leeds and cost then the automatic spot.

I'd rest everyone for the Ipswich game.  Make it really obvious that we are trying to do Leeds over.  Then when we play them play a full strength team, and if we are losing then kick the crap out of them.  I don't like Leeds much.

Really don’t understand why we keep playing greenwood. Surely we aren’t actually looking to buy him

It's a real head scratcher, even if it was compulsory and we are stuck with him you would at least rest him to take him out of the firing line and send him on with ten minutes left to try and be a hero rather than keep playing him in his present vein of "form". Gilbert can't be any worse nor can Silvera or even one of the kids.

Silvera is probably worse but he's miles off Championship level so that's not much of a compliment to Greenwood
