I'd rest everyone for the Ipswich game.  Make it really obvious that we are trying to do Leeds over.  Then when we play them play a full strength team, and if we are losing then kick the crap out of them.  I don't like Leeds much.

Concede 12 against Ipswich just to improve their goal difference.

Not a bad result in isolation. Crazy to think that we didn't even have to be that much better than we have been this season. Just a couple of wins from that first awful period of the season (which would still have been a poor start) and we'd be right in the mix.

No win in the first seven games, poor results against teams in the league, Rotherham, Stoke, Pymouth, beat those & we're in the top 6

A good end to the season as, along with Leeds, form teams of the league, so credit to Boro as after the Stoke game all loked dead & buried. At the end of the day we just havent been good enough

Tonight showed us everything we needed to see imo. Playing against a side closely matched with us, we clearly played to our best and went for it in a game that mattered, the players who can or can’t stood out.

Dieng, VDB, Clarke, Ayling, Howson, O’Brien, Lath all “handled it” to differing degrees.

Jones and Azaz I felt drifted in and out.

Engel, Greenwood and Silvera were a mile off.

If we wanna get serious about promotion there’s the areas we 100% need to strengthen. The 3 behind the striker and LB.

All part of the plan. Intentionally play poorly this season to bring his price down to make him affordable for us in the summer.

Haven’t hull essentially signed him permanently though due to a clause in the loan? Maybe we could work out a deal between the 3 teams if we did want him back and Hull don’t like the look of him idk. Also if Luton get relegated that could change how they see him but then again they’re clearly open to letting him go permanently.

I have a feeling Silvera is one of those who may turnaround and become good for us.

There’s definitely a player in there imo. Whether or not we see that player is another question though. I think his main problem atm is adapting to the physical aspect of the championship. Technically he’s very good and we’ve seen he can hit the net as well with some good finishes

I think he needs a loan next season, if we're serious about promotion we can't be messing around with players like Silvera even off the bench

I hadn’t been completely sold on him yet but he’s been much better recently and tonight I thought he was our best player. Don’t think he lost the ball once. On the basis of that performance I wouldn’t be at all dissatisfied if we made it a permanent deal.

Had another very good game tonight, would be happy to see him signed permanently, but please don't do that again going down as if headbutten, its wrong & embarrassing

i like azaz but he's a link player, he needs ballers round him to play with. greenwood hinders us so much as do our slow ponderous fullbacks. mcgree, hackney and bangura would make a massive difference to us going forwards. in games like this. shame the injuries have been the main downfall, seconded by carrick trying to make us play out like man city.

Silvera is probably worse but he's miles off Championship level so that's not much of a compliment to Greenwood

Silvera does at least have a bit of energy and occasionally will burst forward. Greenwood unfortunately after two decent games against Sunderland and "that" free kick offers very little and I believe is one of the reasons that Engel gets so exposed at times and gets himself in a mess. Too many Managers have passed on him and they can't all be wrong.

Maybe we should beat Ipswich and let Leeds walk all over us so they go up and we then can't afford his wages? I suspect that there may be an "if fit" clause in the loan agreement because Carrick surely can't be the blind, stupid or incompetent.
