RR do you not think that the injuries are down to the number of games we play, the players hardly ever get a chance of 7 days rest, which is what you need in professional football.

What's different to this season and any other Championship season? We've also had Cup runs before and other sides haven't had the same level of injuries. There will always be injuries, that's a given, but it would appear that for example Coburn was being played when he "had a procedure" but was clearly unfit. I don't know the cause of the problem but it can't be dismissed as just bad luck.

Yep a second option up front is needed but we have to invest heavily behind the striker and in midfield. A dominating cm and #10 are vital if we wanna go up, I’d also like to see Bangura tried at lb between now and the end of the season, I think Engel is just to much of a weak link.

I don't think it's fair to judge Engel when he has had a complete hotch potch of team mates in front of him wide left all season, Rogers, Greenwood, McGree, Silvera, Azaz etc. etc. We have had zero understanding and synergy down that left side all season allied to a weak midfield that hasn't offered as much protection as we would reasonably have expected.

Although this was only put up yesterday the amount of posts this thread has achieved has allowed this season contributions to MDT to exceed all previous years and with still 3 games to go.

We are on course to overtake the record 30,000 mark season contributions.

Many thanks one and all for your continuing support of the MDT and the contributions that you have made thus far.

Now come on lets go beyond the 30.1k current record!

Its the same as every other team in the league though and while all teams have to deal with injuries, our casualty list this season has been pretty appalling by any standards.

Oh come on it’s absolutely fair, time after time he just doesn’t do enough, just not reliable enough to be our #1 LB imo. He can improve in a better team yes but it will need to be one hell of an improvement. Sick of all the excuses now tbh, based on this season it’s glaringly obvious he’s just not good enough.

Btw not sure if it was mentioned here at the time but did anyone see their keeper blatantly and clearly handle the ball out the box in the first half? Embarrassing officiating again.

Yes it was clearly outside the box. I don’t know how the officials didn’t see it

We also need to get off to a decent start.

We’ve played catch up all season and ultimately despite some great form haven’t caught up.

it will be an interesting summer.

I can't remember the last time we started a season off with a bang, we did under Pulis.

But most seasons since we've come back down we seem to start the season sluggishly, that needs to change next year and hopefully a bit of continuity will help that.

Greenwood and maybe ayling and howson are the only players that played today that are likely to not be here next season. Same time last season we had Giles, steffen, Archer, ramsey, akpom, muniz and mowatt who were all almost certainly on their way out. We definitely won't have quite as much upheaval this summer.

Decent point today. Could also have won. Or lost. But a very tough away game. Getting points away at hull and Ipswich in the same week is fairly good and we maintain our unbeaten record. Keep it going until the end of the season, build a stronger team in the summer and start the next like we finished this.

Just watched the highlights - Latte Lath has some leap on him; his determination to create that chance at the end for Jones was OUTSTANDING. I think we’ll have a real player on our hands next season - if we can get someone to create regularly for him we’re in business; brilliantly on crosses too. Love the guy.
