There's been a few especially after that car crash of a start, Dieng was better than expected, Bangura albeit briefly has been a tease, RVB and Clarke have both excelled beyond our hopes, ELL is now looking seriously the real deal and Ayling was an ageing plodder whose legs had gone yet has racked up some incredibly assists. Hard to pick but I think ELL for his last few months has edged it with Ayling a midgies left one just behind!

It has to be Greenwood. What makes it worse is that there is talent in there as his few goals and "that free kick" proves but if Carrick can't extract it then the lad is facing a downhill spiral on his career. I'd put my house on him being at the SOL next season.

Right Back if Ayling isn't staying and maybe another if Smith is crocked. A CB if as likely McNair departs. Midfield at least two to replace O'Brien, Crooks plus Howson (even if he signs again)  can't be depended upon two games a week at 76 years old) and then whatever happens to Hackney. A Striker is another obvious one plus another if Coburn goes on loan and of course who can forget the elusive and magical No. 10 who we are all eagerly anticipating.
