It's actually mad just how good Burnley's defensive record is this season.

It's genuinely the best in the whole of Europe, because I've been sad enough to check all the league tables.

31 games, 22 clean sheets, 9 goals conceded.

There are only a handful of teams from smaller leagues that have conceded marginally fewer goals, and they've all played at least 10 games less.

Yes but their xG is terrible so they're going to end up in serious trouble because like Azaz, the stats never lie unlike the table!

In Carrick we trust "we're going to score more xG than you, Middlesbrough, na na naa!"

They might break our record of conceding only 8 home goals in a Championship season.

They have conceded only 4 at home...Sunderland missing 2 pens helps that! and they have 8 home games left.

Remarkable what they're doing, even if it is extremely boring to watch.

Yeah, I don't imagine for one second that it's particularly entertaining being a Burnley fan right now, but they'll all be laughing at the end of the season if they go up whilst boring the division to death with effective ultra-defensive football.

It'll probably be very frustrating to have put up with it for the full season if they slip up at the end of it though.

Fantastic achievement

Big Jacks team conceded 8 at home, with 6 teams scoring past us

Fulham & Orient twice

Swindon, Sunderland, Luton & Millwall a goal apiece

Funnily enough when I was diagnosed last June I was talking to my consultant, it was quite emotional & with my wife & daughter present I didnt want to show them I was getting upset so in my head I recited every goal we conceded at home from my favourite season 1973/74  followed by everyone of the 22 away goals conceded, got me through it 😂

The funny thing about Burnley is they'll go up, change absolutely nothing about their style of play and that rock solid defence will get absolutely mullered against Premier League attackers.

Probably not as mullered as Kompany's style in the Premiership. I doubt they will stay up but a resolute set up will stand them in far better shape.

Well the thing is that they "only" have 6 xGa better than us. So its not like teams dont create against them, its more that the teals dont score on their chances. The PL teams would score 😉
