I play a bit of FC25, and I'm currently building a Boro 'evo' team. Due to the lack of options, I'm thinking about adding players to my team that have formerly been on trial at Middlesbrough. Matic, for example (right?)!

 

I wondered if there were any former Middlesbrough trialists that didn't join the club, but perhaps still play football! Be interested in getting a good list of names 🙂

On a side note, does anyone remember that Spurs offered us Bale + cash for Stewie Downing? Pretty sure I'm not making that up.

I remember that deal. 

 

I do a Boro Past n Present team every year, but I include players we've had in the youths, trialists, and even people who have pulled on the shirt in testimonials.

So far I've used -

Rio Ferdinand, George Best, Kenny Dalglish, Ben Godfrey, Chris Smalling, Nemanja Matic

I like it! Was thinking about doing something similar... Even to the extent of using Robbie Keane for his Tenure with Woodgate.

I put Keane in the year he had that amazing Hero card where he was dressed as a cowboy, but it felt dirty to me so I took him out again 🤣

How's your team looking @SmogInTheToon? Have you seen there's a Lewis Wing card for beating Squad Battles?
