Relatedly, looks like Silvera is failing at Portsmouth. Seems like Hemming has been replaced at Leyton Orient as well. Looks like Coburn is our only loan out who is developing well. Hannah seems to be doing ok in Scotland but Agyemang and Willis don't seem to be making the grade.

With regard to the young lads I wouldn’t pay too much attention to performances when out on loan.  There’s more to the loan experience than just performances.

Hackney is a prime example.

  • Absolute buzzing what a way to sign off for the international break. Thought we were outstanding to a man today. I doubted the selection of Burgzorg but fair play to Carrick he got that one spot

  • For most of this season we've been in a state of quantum uncertainty (call it Xq). If you look at our "underlying numbers" we ought to be top of the league. But if you look at our results and performa

Goats of plastic, dancers of sand, deniers of xG..... Your pessimism is taking one hell of a beating!!!

West Brom have won, so we're only 7th for 2 weeks, ah well.

Unless Burnley get beaten 5-0, anyway.

Amazing how much the last 2 results have restored my optimism (yet again!!)

Just hope we can really capitalise on it and continue with at least 4 points from the next 6, build some more confidence and see more of what this team is REALLY capable of

It's only half time isn't it?? Hull pulled one back  ... 1-2

Though I think they'll still win it

Whilst everyone won. None of them played well. Shef Utd scraped thru, WBA and Burnley the same.

If we have indeed kicked  Those that predicted top 2 aren't delusional. Just need consistency. Our next 3 are winnable. 7 points minimum and we will be right in the mix looking at all the corresponding fixtures.

🤞

I think Hamilton needs minutes on the pitch to improve, he looks neat and tidy so far

people expect another rogers from him, but rogers was 3 years ahead of him in first team league experience, he's playing his first games with us (bar 3 cup appearances at city)

Give the lad time, like all Carrick signings of late he will have a slow start but then will come good

With Latte Lath pace and power is there, not so sure about Hamilton.

Hamilton has a lot of work to do, he is young and still developing but he's not Doak level yet. He might come good though

Im just not seeing it with Hamilton!

There must be something about him as he makes the bench every week and often gets a few mins on the pitch, I just cant see what it is.

A lot of ppl blaming Clarke for the goal that we conceded, but it was Hamiltons fault, he looked around to make sure he had space, came to Clarke for the ball, looked to make sure he had space again and then was slow to react when the ball came to him.

Im not writing him off just because of the Man City links, they generally dont have bad players so there must be something about him.

the lads only ever played in 3 games before he come to us, that's likely what it is,

people were expecting him to come in like doak has and rip it up,

but I think with us getting doak its not giving him the chance to bed in the team on a regular basis and get that experience he needs to get to grips with the league, I think it may have been the intention for him to fight it out with jones and mcgree etc until we found out we could get doak and that took away one spot he would be fighting for

so he going to have to pick it up in training and as sub.

But the lad is more a long term prospect than I think everyone assumed, which I think was just based on that single game in the champions league where he scored a goal.

I think many expected Rogers V2, but when you look back at their careers before coming here Rogers had 3 more years of football league experience than this lad has.

I don't think he will turn out to be a dud for us, the fact city felt they had to put buy backs in the deal, but haven't on many other deals for younger players tells you they believe there is more to come. Like they never put any in for Rogers

I think Micah will come good but if a loan would help him, then we shouldn't be afraid of letting him get extra minutes in a less frenetic setting where he has the chance to express himself without the pressure of this league. He is still young so plenty of time yet.

I'd rather give him the season myself to settle in with the team, never know injuries might force our hand to play him, and he is clearly counted on for the squad numbers or wouldn't be included in the squad or getting picked. so to loan him out would mean us brining someone else in his place,

could only see us having that make sense if we got in a a too good to turn premier league player on loan, like we got with doak

I'd loan him out, but Burgzorg has just given a great example of how quickly opinion can change on a fringe player.

He's went from a plodder to the second coming in the eyes of the most negative poster of all.

To be fair to PG, he is not the most negative poster of all. He is just an apprentice because he keeps making mistakes and posting in a positive way...  not often, but definitely more than some 🙂
