I meant in the league table. I thought we were convincingly better then Sheffield United but they are far more consistent than we are

Therein lies the key, consistency!

Thought Fry was top tonight can’t remember him putting a foot wrong. Good passing out with pace not dwelling on ball too

  • We're gonna win 1-6 (Azaz 10,11,24,27,70,90+1)    Rocking up to Turf Moor and double their goals against column, putting ourselves 'right in the conversation' for automatic  😄😂

  • Fixed that for you 😉

For me a hit & hope shot from Roberts got their goal, maybe Dieng should have been a foot or so further back but before & after the goal he redeemed himself, thought he had a very good game tonight. No complaints from me on his selection tonight. They put under the cosh for the entire first half , plenty of corners but we stood firm, earlier in the season we would have buckled under such pressure, thought our backline was immense

Barlasar played the role that Carrick knows he's the only one at the club who can play that role, his passing tonight was so, so good, twice playing in Dijksteel

Roberts who Latte Lath was impressed with, was signed under Monk, only played 4 games, then had his contract cancelled, our  43rd league cup debutant - 84th loaned player - Loaned from Swansea - 51st at the Riverside

Agree with the assessment of Dan, might be the only lad I have seen whose pass accuracy increases with distance. Pinpoint at 50 yards but prone to misplace at five. I like the lad, he can see passes most others can't

Due to a ridiculous stantion I only just seen the goal properly. Very nice goal.

Got to be a good point that. The conditions were appalling so to come injury and red card free with a point is a good night I think.

Think that was the cut off point for a ban for 5 yellows. Ed, Hackney and possibly Doak were at risk but all come through it.

Fully expect to see Riley and LL come in for Burgzorg and Conway v Leeds. Did Dijksteel cramp up towards end.  Could also see Ayling replacing him if that is the case. Apart from that I think team will be same. Dieng to remain in goal.

Special mention to Borges who I thought had one of his best games in a Boro shirt.

Borges played really well

Borges really is finding his feet now, created 2 goal scoring chances directly in the last couple of games off the top of my head and probably much more. Solid defensively also, I think most of their chances were from our right side.

For me, when a fully fit Fry is on his game he's as good as VDB

How lucky are we to have two such CB's

Yep, agree on that, very good game

Woke this morning feeling disappointed from last nights result

For me I thought Hackney wasnt on his game, Dieng made a mistake, but I thought he redeemed himself both before & after the goal, one error

But looking back IMO it wasnt a fair result, yes following our goal they camped in our half & put us under enormous pressure but as a unit we defended magnificently & apart from a hit & hope shot we should have gone in at HT leading.
The 2nd half we created the better chances & should have gone ahead, they huffed & puffed but nothing like the first half, no, we made them look ordinary, two massive chances went begging & should have been in the back of the net, even Latte Laths chance
Thought on the night we grew another level, now need to be on our game at Leeds
