Thought Fry was top tonight can’t remember him putting a foot wrong. Good passing out with pace not dwelling on ball too

  • We're gonna win 1-6 (Azaz 10,11,24,27,70,90+1)    Rocking up to Turf Moor and double their goals against column, putting ourselves 'right in the conversation' for automatic  😄😂

  • Fixed that for you 😉

Forss has picked up a niggle in training.

He was celebrating Finlands independence day

😜

Happy with a point given the weather conditions and the fact we were up against the best defence in the league, but we have to beat Leeds now to realistically have any chance of automatic promotion.

Also, *if* Doak is recalled in January then we can definitely kiss promotion goodbye.

Although Carrick seemed fine with the draw he clearly indicated we should have come away with all 3 points, Boro's curse rearing it's head with missed opportunities.

Dieng should have taken the wind into account and stayed on the goal line but hey ho that's football for you I suppose.

Anyway here are the highlights of the match for anyone not being able to see last nights game.

There's more chance of Hoppe playing against Leeds and scoring a hat-trick than getting Dieng to stay on his line

I didn’t see it as we should have got three points. Maybe we had couple of chances and should have scored but I thought at times it was a tough watch, so many balls in the box from them etc, but suppose yes we defended that well with our two big CBs. Wonder how much of an effect the weather had on the game.

Scott Parker seems to have watched an alternate reality second half where they battered us, rather than what actually happened.

I'm still satisfied with the point having slept on it, we probably should have taken the lead again but it was a solid away performance and it's set us up very nicely for Tuesday.

It affected the game massively. No way does Roberts score that equaliser if not for the wind.

We won xG so we deserved the win

Don’t really get the criticism of Dieng. Anyone shooting from there would be aiming for near thepost and a goalkeeper needs to be out on 6 yard line, or even a little further, to cover angles. If he had stayed on his line and the ball had gone near the post he wouldn’t have had a chance. Just bad luck that wind caught it exactly right for Burnley.

Yeah, even Scott Parker said as much himself.

""The weather probably plays a big part in it. The goalkeeper’s position was high. I’ve not looked at it back, but maybe the conditions have had an impact on that. The flight of the ball was out all night. When it goes up in the air you just don’t know where it’s going to land and that affects the judgement of the players.

Corners, set plays, the general flight of the ball, it’s something the players now can anticipate usually. It’s probably fair to say the weather had a huge impact."

Any highlights anywhere that shows the entire build up to our goal. My memory tells me that it started with Borges and Burgzorg with intricate close passing and a ridiculous backheel from Delano and then the ball went out to the right where we build up finishing with Barlaser's pass and Dijksteel's finish. In the euphoria at the time I may be misremembering?
