Thought Fry was top tonight can’t remember him putting a foot wrong. Good passing out with pace not dwelling on ball too

  • We're gonna win 1-6 (Azaz 10,11,24,27,70,90+1)    Rocking up to Turf Moor and double their goals against column, putting ourselves 'right in the conversation' for automatic  😄😂

  • Fixed that for you 😉

Didn't sound like McGree's definitely going to be available though.

Carrick said he and van den Berg were back on the grass, but he made a comment about trying to get McGree back earlier in the press conference.

My favourite Christmas film is probably Muppet's Christmas Carol.

Funny because I don't actually like the Muppets in any other context.

Not even Muppet Treasure Island? 😀

that train of thought must be down to some of past managers I reckon

Echo suggesting VDB also in contention for Burnley

People reckon he comes straight back in or MC waits for maybe Millwalll at home next weekend to play him?

I think Edmondson and Fry stay in for this one. I suspect Ayling will play too. Be great to have Rav back on the bench.

I'm fascinated to see who Carrick goes with up front. I've seen nothing of Burnley this season so don't know if Lath or Conway will be the better fit. But we know Lath loves playing Leeds.

My gut instinct on the team is

                  Dieng

Ayling.     Fry.     Fridge. Borges

               Howson Hackney

Doak.                Azaz.             Burgzorg

                       Conway

Brynn

Rav

McGree

Dijksteel

Clarke

Barlaser

Lath

Jones

Forss

Not sure I'd be bringing Dieng straight back in, sends the wrong message to Sol, who has done absolutely nothing wrong.

I think ELL will start too despite Conway's brace on Saturday

Dieng will come straight back into the starting 11

After Carrick's comments, he probably will do. Doesn't mean I agree with it though.

I don't think so. Brynn has been given 3 games to show what he can do and has definitely passed the test. He wouldn't have been expecting to be immediately promoted to #1 but he now has something to argue his case with. In terms of developing, it's usually good to have an extended experience then a chance to reflect and observe. He'll learn a lot more on the bench now he's experienced the pace and intensity of the Championship so he can look at positioning, distribution, opposing players and so on with more insight.

Keepers are unusual in needing a specified #1 who always plays when available. You don't rotate or drop keepers unless you absolutely have to. That said, I think when you have a young #2 like Brynn who is pushing to prove himself, you need to agree some runs of games during the season when he gets, say, 3 games in a row and a chance to show what he can do outside of a cup game.

Dieng will have seen that Brynn looks genuinely capable of being a first choice keeper in the Championship, so when he comes back in, it pushes him to improve to keep his status.

I wouldn't be averse to Brynn continuing but right now Dieng is #1 and both of them would be expecting Dieng to come back in.
