Well there's my euromillions numbers for tonight

If 90+1 is drawn as one of the EuroMillions numbers tonight, I will personally buy you the castle or chateau of your choice.

Thought Fry was top tonight can’t remember him putting a foot wrong. Good passing out with pace not dwelling on ball too

  • We're gonna win 1-6 (Azaz 10,11,24,27,70,90+1)    Rocking up to Turf Moor and double their goals against column, putting ourselves 'right in the conversation' for automatic  😄😂

  • Fixed that for you 😉

Azaz you say....It was only three months ago you lot wanted shot of him...sometimes Boro fans drive me to distraction

Let's be fair, we're not a singular amorphous group. Some people wanted him gone. Some supported him and defended him at the time. Now granted, Cosmonaut is one of the people who was saying he was nowhere good enough!

Questions:

Line up predictions?

Unless anyone from the casualty list is ready to go back into action, I see Carrick sticking with the Hull line-up. Maybe swap Dijksteel for Ayling for more defensive stability? Possibly start McGree if fit enough?

                      [Conway]

[McGree]         [Azaz]            [Doak]

          [Barlaser]      [Hackney]

[Borges]  [Edmundson]  [Fry]  [Ayling]

                    [Brynn]

How many will we win by?

-3 goals. I see Boro coming unstuck against Burnley's stubborn defence and our own back line will leak a few. Just one of those games we're unlikely to win. Take the hit and move on.

Best player to represent both clubs?

The "Ryan Giggs of the North-East" Alan Moore.

Is your tree up yet?

No - gonna do it this weekend.

What is your favourite Xmas film?

I don't really watch Christmas films...most of them are either crap or too cheesy / sentimental. Only ones I really like are Home Alone, The Grinch and Its A Wonderful Life or one of the various versions of A Christmas Carol...

Is Jay Rodriguez really their number one striker? Why do we fear them again?

No stupid mistakes defensively and I really fancy us tonight. By no means am I taking them lightly. They are a top team in the league this year and are well organised and probably the most organised in the league. However, I don’t think there’s a team that can keep out an inform Latte Lath, Azaz and Doak in the same team. If they are on it tonight I struggle to see us not scoring. Whether they are or not is another question. That’s my reason for optimism though. Well that and purely from memory I feel like under Carrick we often pull big performances away to top teams. Sheffield united, Leeds and West Brom spring to mind. Expect it to be a proper game (like West Brom). Would have loved Morris back for this one and Leeds but have faith in Hackney and Barlaser (presuming he starts).

They are my reasons for optimism!

I think this is going to be a brilliant game ( thought the same about Bournemouth v Spurs last night!). It really should be a good tactical joust. Due to injuries up front they are relying on clean sheets.

Due to not believing in defence, we are relying on scoring goals.

Seeing who wins out should make for a great game.

Kiss of death if ever there was one.

It'll either be a dour, scrappy affair that Burnley edge by the odd goal (probably offside), or our defence will go AWOL and we'll get soundly thumped.

I know, he has come good and proven me wrong, I am more than happy to be, and long may the good form continue for Azaz

Anyway let's see how tonight goes fellow Boro fans

I'll shot a daft quid on my crackbrained prediction, why not??

I like that even in the absurd best-case scenario version you can't envision us keeping a clean sheet!

Ha ha ... well, I was just being realistic 😂

I'm at my staff do for this, I'll be sneaking off to a bar after dinner for a couple hours for this one, couldn't miss it.

I'm on my christmas doo as well. I look forward to some drunk (and hopefully ecstatic) posting from us later

Anyone know of any surprises in who has travelled for the game? Any hints on the team?

Looks like we could end up being one of the few matches actually happening with how bad the storm is tomorrow.

@BoroSmoggie usually gets some early team news.

azaz deserved to be criticized. he was getting more chances than anyone and missing them all. i was getting fed up with him myself. he looked fine in the games. didnt look out of place or anything, looked quite good tbf. but he would fluff chances when they came to him. it wasnt just him though. they were all guilty.

i was thinking back to mcgree when he would blast chances wide and high all time time, i was getting fed up of him at the time and he improved. i was hoping same would happen to finn and it has, though never expected him to get this hot.

long may it continue.

I think we can do a job on Leeds. I think this is a bigger test tonight. Anyone else weirdly not feeling too nervous?

Realy not impressed by Burnley. Very strong defense but thats all. I know we dont like those teams but they also have a lot of players missing. If we score first we gonna win so I hope we are switched on from start
