Listened to Carrick's post match interview. Most of what he had to say was arrogant piffle. I think he is now starting to really annoy a large section of the fans. Simply not good enough last night, and his in game management is non existent. If we don't win the next home game I think he's in for a shock.

Well at least we now know that you're overweight.

  • The easy thing to say was they pressed us into mistakes but that was hardly the case, we constantly gave the ball away when we weren’t under any pressure. Hackney and Barlaser were doing no look 5 yar

  • Did you know, Leeds haven't conceded in over 1 minute at home!

Only thing more embarrassing than this performance is this comment. Last 8 games we've lost 2, drawn 1 and won 5, that's easily play off form.

what's the shock he is going to get?

There will be the head of a plastic goat under his bedsheets 😆

“It's very easy to jump on something when you give the ball away and use that as the key mistake, but you have to take it both ways. We want to avoid that, of course, but we were playing with such belief in the second half and we just got caught with two giveaways and it can catch you out. I can't fault the boys for trying to do the right things.”

Have to say I am fed up with the lack of standards from Carrick.

We had 3 goal kicks in a row where we gave possession away before James scored the 2nd last night - and he literally had an exact carbon copy of that chance from the 2nd one. You absolutely CAN fault the boys for trying to "do the right thing" and conceding from it after such an obvious warning - you can hardly say you were "caught out" when it happens constantly! This tactical inflexibility in the game from everybody deciding that they can coach average players to play like prime Pep teams is ridiculous.

I have no issue with playing it out of the back but for *** sake, if you've lost it twice in a row just mix it up and go long (one time)! But Carrick seemingly hasn't a care in the world, win some you lose him, oh well, look at me aren't I always so calm and cool and collected, and that attitude is rubbing off on this pack of losers where some individuals have the freedom to drop an absolute 2/10 clanger of a performance whenever they feel like it and not worry about there being any consequences.

Barlaser and Hackney should have been made to walk home last night and I would genuinely play one of the kids + Howson next week just to send a message that the half-hearted display they both gave was unacceptable.

When he says he can’t fault them, it’s his way of taking responsibility for it because it’s how he’s asking them to play - which is fair enough. If he’s telling them to stick to their principles and to not let their heads drop even if they get caught out then you can’t really blame the players for not changing things up and going long.

Come on guys we were AWAY to probably the best side in the league with vastly more resources than us.

What do you expect ? We don't have parachute payments. We are playing some decent stuff and scoring goals.

We need 3 or 4 local lads to come though together, that's our best chance.

Carrick's done well with the resources at his disposal. OR We could go back to Neil, he's the magician that might get us promoted with this squad but it won't be by playing pretty football...

Thanks 👍

But this is exactly what I mean.

Every player in that team knows they can mess it up and they won't be held accountable for it. The coach is telling them to play in a manner that demonstrably doesn't always work and they don't have either a) the leadership or b) the brains to change it.

I'm a worse-than-amateur footballer but if I'm Dieng after that 2nd goal kick where I've gotten away with murder I am launching that over their back line next time and the manager can feel free to shout at me if he wants. It's almost negligent how unable they are to think on their feet.

A sign of the times with modern football I suppose. The game is breeding these "system" players who haven't got the ability to think outside the box. It's why Cole Palmer is (in my opinion) the best player in the Premier League right now - kid just does what works in the moment. Looks like he's having fun. This lot look terrified to break "the system" and oppose Carrick's "principles" even when 40,000 punters can see the writing on the wall.

Joint 3rd favourites, with pretty much nothing between us, sheff utd, Coventry, Luton and West brom. That all those teams had the same odds shows that they were guessing.

Betting follows the money anyway, not the actual chances.

Thanks. So very much in the reckoning for the automatic promotion places.

We haven't been close all season and that's very much unlikely to change. It's another metric that demonstrates how much we've  underachieved.

6 of the top 8 teams currently we have played away but still have to play at home. You could argue we have played the majority of our toughest fixtures of the season already now. If we can finally sort out our inconsistent home form...

A bad result on Saturday and we are out of the playoff places. Carrick is underperforming IMO and the excuses are running out.

Nobby good to see you've maintained your jaundiced view. I don't believe anyone questions the quality of Leeds. What IS up for debate was the poor application we gave for the majority of the game. Overrun in midfield, outpaced all over the park, lacking in quality of passing. We were very much the architects of our own downfall.

That was the reality and there's no masking this - there really isn't.

Don't kid yourself. Surely Gibson expects playoffs as a minimum. If Carrick doesn't deliver this then he's on his bike. If Gibson doesn't expect playoffs as a minimum then he needs to go as well. I suspect he's getting increasingly frustrated by the team's inconsistent performance. Carrick doesn't do himself any favours by his bland and rather arrogant utterances, at his so called press conferences. Perhaps this arrogant behaviour is what we have come to expect of an ex Man.Utd player. By the way we could be out of the top six after tonight's results.

I think this was a game where we really mist the bite of Morris in midfield.

Barlaser and Hackney were a bit lightweight as a pear Robin .

PS Do you hold a torch for Selina Scott by any chance ?
