Boro v Blackburn FA Cup 0-1

Recommended Posts

Carrick and woodgate don’t have a scooby how to attack against a low block or come from a goal down. Honestly I know it’s still only early. But there’s nothing that makes me think we are going anywhere under carrick. It’s just rinse and repeat far too often

Dunno about Eustace but Blackburn certainly do. This will be 11 games at the Riverside unbeaten. They definitely have the hex on us at home.

Yep was thinking even though he isn't their manager now his record against us ( Carrick) is not too shabby

I don’t often have this feeling but I think we could play all day and not score here, we look devoid of ideas. Rubbish performance, can only assume we are happy to lose

Don't think Carrick saw this as a free hit to prioritise the play-offs.

I just think its another case where his tactical limitations have been exposed by a better manager. Don't think player for player Blackburn are a much better team. Its just about getting your tactics right...and MC didn't.

I don't think we've thrown it on purpose, it's just pure Carrick.

When you play like you have no interest in winning and your manager has zero interest in changing it/capable of seeing it then it’s the same. We didn’t want to win the game and carrick had no interest in doing anything about it. Embarrassing management.

  • Downsouth changed the title to Boro v Blackburn FA Cup 0-1

Regardless of it being a cup game it is thoroughly dispiriting to see the same mistakes made time and time again. I’m pretty sure we’ll lose ELL, a significant attacking weapon, and since we generally need to score at least twice to win a game I wonder where we go from here?

A typical home game for us this season. Another defensive mistake the same old, 3/4 of them players who had chances today just keep proving their not upto it

its no different that our best team at the moment at home. Cant break team down and poor at the back.

Oh well, at least Carrick has delivered another of his Home non-performance displays again this season.

I'm really struggling to see the point in putting out sides that have little drive or intent other than just recycling possession and can't defend if their lives depended on it. Shame, he would have been perfect for West Ham.
