Dijksteel new contract

McCabe looks oven ready and if there's Barlaser interest we should sell BUT we need a defensive minded midfielder ASAP Rocky

We miss Ryan John Giles at the Riverside Stadium

Burgzorg is bang average man, physically gifted but wasteful on the left and anonymous up front

Loan out Hamilton, he's miles off it

I hate the way the FA Cup has been devalued. It was a fantastic competition. Third round - I believe I'm correct- always the first Saturday of January. This has now gone. Competition sold out com

I propose SmogDane be excommunicated for using AI to author a match thread. Actions like this threaten the very fabric of our civilisation.

  • If you write an MDT thread in ChatGPT you get a ChatGPT performance

The lack of bite and aggression and will to win is the worst part.

It’s all just a bit meh at the minute.

Very poor and puts extra pressure on next week.

Terrible decision to play Burgzorg up top.

Hamilton didn't look up to it on the right either. Got to hope Forss comes back quickly and on form.

McGree continues his descent into mediocrity.

Glover is a joke. That was a Lumley level mistake.

its no different that our best team at the moment at home. Cant break team down and poor at the back.

Exactly its same 3/4 who keep getting them.

Surprised by everyone’s reaction to this game given the injury situation, league position and starting 11. A lot of the players starting wouldn’t make the second 11 if we had a fresh squad.

I don’t want us to throw any games but we don’t have the luxury of being able to focus on multiple competitions at the moment.

I do think some people enjoy being able to stick the boot in on the staff and players sometimes though

Expected and to be fair 0-1 made it look decent when in fact we were utter turd. Why the hell did I rush home to that cr ap.

The lack of urgency & intent is worrying. Only Mc Cabe & Dijksteel came away with any credit from that dismal effort. Very disappointing result & performace.

In the minority I know but I can see a parting of the ways come the end of the season. A manager who's stubbornness ignorance means he isn't open to change, improvement and eradicating mistakes will not develop as a manager.

For Carrick this penny is dropping with increased numbers......

Stop making excuses EVERY team has injuries, every team.

The worst part is the entirely predictable nature of the defeat. Sub standard second choice 11 who are just going through the motions.  McCabe and Djiksteel probably the only ones with any passion or urgency before ELL came on.  Team of average journeymen just picking up their wages and not too worried about the outcome or the fans. We are not good enough to rest Doak, Azaz, ELL and Hackney. Arrogant of Carrick to do so and treat the fans with contempt. Stuff ‘the bigger picture’ rubbish, success breeds success. A winning run is important. Confidence is important. Everyone is down today because we didn’t have a go - that started with Carrick’s selection and ended with the dross served up on the pitch. Not acceptable for me.

I'm afraid that's a poor excuse.

So the streak continues...

Last time we beat these at home was in 2012-2013, right?

The worrying thing is it’s not a surprise any more - I don’t go in to games thinking we’re favourites at all.

We didn’t replace a good quality coach in Arron Danks and it’s showing.

We were even worse when we took the fringe players off.
