Boro v Blackburn FA Cup 0-1

Recommended Posts

Whilst I welcomed Carrick's appointment I have serious reservations about his lack of development, intransigence he shows towards tactics, subs, setting up the team, lack of leadership shown during games, this bloody slow build up employed by us all too often.

Big question is do we want to be pretty passing in areas of the pitch that lead to nothing or attack with pace that's proved far more effective and help us harvest points.

The frustration manifests itself to the optimum level when your average fan can see the same deficiencies time and time again.

It has accelerated from a concern to a pretty big problem.i would hazard a guess we are currently one of the easiest opponents in the division to face.

How long will this be allowed to continue? Seemingly till Carrick decides.

Yes I know we are still in a playoff place. And I for one think we are pretty fortunate to still hold that position.

I guess I can sum it up by saying Portsmouth must be looking  forward with relish to our visit.

As their game plan will already be in place..........

Id los say those that say carrick can’t change games have already forgotten about hull away

he changed it like for like

He made three Subs in the 69th minute that night, a full sixty seconds ahead of schedule and in doing so totally confused the Hull bench and their game plan.

I know I was excited to see Boro Subs so early. The Earth has an axial tilt of about 23.44°, I would swear it wobbled just for a millisecond to 23.43° at that moment!

I'm never going back to the Stadium of Light until they change the away section, because it's terrible to watch a match from up there.

It's a joke that they've still kept them up there when there were only a handful of fans in the stadium.

We got a much better attendance than them lot anyway, despite a worse kick-off time and just as *** a draw.

Just seen the highlights and wow, yet again we just have a real lack of a defensive midfielder patrolling the edge of the box. I did a photo comment last season about how in transition we always get done with the edge of the box leaving space and it’s so infuriating that it still happens this season too.

Forget Giles in Jan. We really need to upgrade on Howson, Barlaser with a player who can sit and shield and allow Hackney the freedom. I know Morris can do this really well, but we ideally need an additional one for rotation.

Two things have irked me with yesterdays performance one it seems that we have reverted back to earlier times when scoring goals was difficult ok we have scored of late but going back to single goals or less as the case yesterday.

Secondly and I accept we were never going to win the Cup but we handed over a potential pay day to Blackburn that will increase their "earnings" from future ticket sales and additional prize money for reaching the next round in the Cup.

And finally the Blackburn curse seems to have no end in sight though I do think we will stop the rot at Ewood Park later in the season
