I think he's getting maybe a bit too many plaudits mainly due to the flack that Barlaser gets. McCabe was ok but nothing more. It was a terrible performance all round but he wasn't exactly pulling strings in midfield or breaking up play. He could have a good future at the club and yesterday was decent. Think it was a bit telling of the whole teams performance when he made that risky, yet succesful backwards drible in his own box sorrounded by two blackburn attackers and then proceeded to send the ball 10 yards beyond Dijksteel for a Blackburn throw in. Making a drible like that in that position obviously shows confidence, but Fry showed confidence with a backheel a week ago that was punished and cost two points so it's a bit risky and all goes out the window when the pass afterwards was as crap as it was.

Completely agree with you BD, it was a 5/10 performance from McCabe in a game where they all struggled. Promising, confident with some nice touches but he's not the saviour of our season as some seem to be suggesting...

Djiksteel was easily our best performer !

Which has been the case this season, remember the Leeds cup game, scored, assisted & MOTM then dropped, another player with an excellent attitude

Would have been very happy with a home draw against Wolves, would have been a good match and well attended, hey ho throw it all away

The clubs fault, could have made some money, anyway the best team bar far won comfortably.

FAC 4th round ties to be played over the 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th, 13th, 14th, zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

I would say it was about as good a debut as Hackney had under Leo. Solid and looked like he could handle playing at that level. He's not going to save our season but if we're prepared to actually play him instead of Barlaser and Howson, he'll improve really quickly. At this point, there's zero point playing Barlaser or Howson unless there is literally no one else available.

Young players improve with games , hopefully, or they sink but we cant have promising youngsters at 22 or 23 with no experience.
