I hope we set out to beat Blackburn because I would hate the thought of losing at home twice to them this season. We aint going to win the Cup but a cup run is always fun I used to feel like that but nowadays I just feel a Cup run gets in the way of the main event, causes fixture congestion, more fatigue and like as not more injuries piling up. I know I sound very negative but in the modern game that's how it is, especially when the gap is now so huge between the top 6 clubs that right now we know who will like as not win it (and more to the point who won't). I'll stick my neck out and say it will be one of Arsenal, Liverpool or City which is the reason why it all seems so pointless.

Barring injuries one or another, I expect. Glover Dijksteel - Edmundson - Clarke - Engel McCabe - Hackney Jones - Gilbert - McGree Finch It's a bit lightweight up front but most of those are now pretty experienced Championship players. We might see McCormick but I suspect that we get more out of getting Engel back up to speed at this point. Might see Burgzorg get another run out at centre forward to see if he has improved in that position since earlier in the season. Hackney could do with a break but a midfield of Barlaser and McCabe is just asking for trouble. Cardiff 2004. Isn't it great when you're living within 1/2 mile of the cup final. Least it would be, if I wasn't stuck in Darmstadt at a hypertext conference where I was an invited speaker long before we made it to the final. And flying back to Cardiff during the match. Got on the plane just as we kicked off. No wifi of course. Had to wait until I got back to Cardiff airport and turned on my old nokia to get texts saying we'd won. My team was of much a similar idea to yours. I had Latte Lath still in as he's a confidence player, and Hamilton instead of Jones. But can't really argue with you there

Two of those teams definitely won’t win it 😆 I’m the new oracle 😂😂😂

How many of you would sacrifice a play off place for winning The FA Cup? course you would sacrifice it, no one ever talks about winning play off places years later, that would be talked about forever, and to do it from the championship as well 17 hours ago, Leesider said: Absolutely, My favorite memories of the last few seasons would include beating Man Utd & Spurs in the cup. That penalty shoot out v Utd was incredible. Sol (RIP) slotting home in particular with his only touch of the game was magical stuff. the thing that takes the man utd penalty shoot out to another level is we had lumley in goal, they had a free goal everytime if they got the penalty on target lol. it still cracks me up to this day that Ronaldo missed his penalty during the match as well, and the hand ball goal was amazing that it was legal because of the pass to crooks bruno missing open goal as well was icing on the cake. we had a lot of luck that night lol

Not in my eyes. I know it won't happen, but I want our strongest team out at the weekend. Is it now just all about being in the Prem, or is there still room for dreaming of winning a cup at Wembley?
OldManGravz 2,012 6k
Winning the FA Cup all day for me. That League Cup victory was a day I will never forget. And then of course, you get the European away days, which are always fun
Old Codger 3,841 4.5k
Appears Mr Leadbitter has been awarded a one game touchline ban and a £1000 fine after acting in an improper manner towards a match official near the tunnel on Saturday. He apparently said "Ok, guv, it's a fair cop. I was the one what did it" and "admitted the offence". The rest of the crowd will not face charges. Winning any cup from the championship is just so unlikely though. We've had great runs - and then it gets to the quarters or the semis and the PL teams bring out the big guns and it's all over. Meanwhile you've played a bunch of extra games, got fixtures piled up and it costs you points. On that note, perfectly happy for the mackems to go on a nice cup run. 1
