  • Bristol City sold their top striker (to us). Millwall sold their two star forwards, Flemming and Esse and replaced them with a loan of our third choice striker. Coventry lost their star #10 on a free.

In 2025 our form has us 17th in the league. Appalling.

  • Looking forward to this one  Will feel like a preseason game 2 teams with nothing to play for, can hopefully just enjoy a few goals either way Will keep my eye on Mihailo Ivanovic and the 2

This is one of the worst group of players I've ever seen seen in a Boro shirt for lacking intensity and physical aggression. They basically think they should stroll through games. Azaz is one of the most physically weak players I've seen playing for Boro.I think Carrick has too big opinion of himself and Scott and Gibson made a grave error in appointing him.

Whittaker makes azaz look like the terminator

  • Downsouth changed the title to Millwall v Boro 1-0

Also, why are the away fans applauding them off the pitch?

What on Earth was there to applaud about that?!

Why drop Iheanacho then play all 3 players behind Conway out of position?

Another season of disappointment. Even if we make the play offs, this team doesn’t have the guts. We are pathetic.

Please close the door on the way out Carrick, your teams are boring, poor & soft

I honestly thought we'd push on in the second half after being the better team first half but they have a manager who knows how to change things & Carrick couldnt react

We are worse off points wise than this time last season & that was suppose to be a rebuilding job

This season hasnt even finished & im not looking forward to next season with MC still here

The goal wasn't from a Howson error.

Which goal?  If I saw today's goal rightly, he was defending the near post zone of the six yard box, and the ball across went straight past him.  He tried to clear it but did an air kick kinda thing.  In midweek he was ball watching, their lad ran in behind, and then he was yards behind everyone else instead of being in the same position as today to stop the ball in.  I'm not saying the both goals were entirely down to him, I'm saying that a good defender stops both, and that's why him playing there is an issue.

Truly pathetic second half performance, we deserve nothing from this season. Any redeeming factor to this squad will leave in the summer, it's crazy how the optimism we had over the last few years has just disappeared due to awful management, selling our best players in the middle of the season two years in a row and replacing them with dross.

We are unbelievably lucky this championship season is of low quality because we are worse than last season but have at least looked close to playoffs because of how poor the standard is. Now even that has fell away

Bleh.

Unfortunately this panned out much as I expected.

Boro were at their best in the first half - although thats not saying much. But we at least competed with Millwall and didn't let them dominate the game.

But Alex Neal rang the changes second half and as usual Carrick failed to adapt in time, after Millwall had been cranking up the pressure on the Boro goal for a while.

Some more headless chicken defending gave the hosts the only goal of the game...although they had chances to score more during a sustained spell of pressure.

Boro had a few chances too, but our shots were either off-target or straight at the keeper. If we had any kind of quality / joined-up thinking among our front 4, we might just be a dangerous team.

But chance after chance went begging due to misplaced passes, poor shooting and bad decision-making.

Even though I expected us to lose today, its still disappointing the way we lost. Another one of those matches where we were just so ineffectual.
