Please dont give us your boring post match interviews Carrick such as 'The boys gave everything' 😔

I'm looking forward to hearing the tripe, at least it's a cause for some amusement and crikey we need something to laugh rather than cry over.

The Pulis full season was worse than this.  Woodgate's season as well.  The Premier League 'adventure' wasn't a thrill a minute.  Warnock hmmm, Strachan's year of hell.  I'm not even sure that this one cracks the top five to be honest.

I genuinely looked forward to Boro games more under Pulis, Warnock and prem season then this year.

I honestly can’t put quite explain how much I have hated everything about this season. Performances, initial expectation, no big wins, no last minute winners, gutless performances, absolute capitulations, having to watch Iheanacho, and an abysmal January window are some of the reasons I think.

Even when we’ve won games, we haven’t particularly played well. You’ll struggle to find a fixture this season where we’ve put together a good performance over a full 90.

You do realise Gibson owns the club? Or are you buying him out?

Yes amazingly as it seems I do know Gibson owns the club. Unfortunately I don't have the financial clout to buy him out. Even if he would sell to the likes of me. It's patently obvious to me however that he does need to sell up. Under Gibson the club is moribund. He's gone stale like all sole owners do given time. By the way last time I looked Steve Gibson was just a mere mortal. He won't last forever so at some point he will be replaced,or haven't you figured that out yet? Boro are a club with real potential. It can only be realised with new owners, new ideas and ambitions, and new money. It's so depressing watching the constant underachievement season after season since Eindhoven. Steve Gibson has had his day move over and let the club enter a new era

I don't disagree but he only sells up on his terms, we need to be realistic

I still don’t get the Iheanacho signing in terms of he can’t press either, he’s basically a worse azaz who himself can’t press and struggles defensively

You haven't mentioned Iheanacho's shooting which is diabolical, he has been a poor signing.

Bottom line is that the whole season has not been good enough and today was the poster child for a mediocre performance. not *bad* simply not good enough. After 41 games we're behind WBA and Bristol City, level with Millwall. Teams who have spent pennies, had changes of manager, had their best players sold out from under them and still somehow we're hardly a match for them.

The longer Carrick has been in charge the worse we've got. Ultimately, the team on the pitch is a reflection of its manager and for all that you can still make excuses for Carrick, the bottom line is that he has had it better than all of our direct competitors.

Obviously this could jolt our season into a sudden turn around. It won't. Thing is though, we could be as average as we were today and win our next 3 games and still be clinging on to the playoffs by the last game of the season. At which point we'll just fail against Coventry, again.

I don't think anyone other than Gibson seriously thinks that Carrick is capable of taking this team anywhere except for continual seasons of drift. Problem is, Gibson is the one making the decision.

You can't rug pull Carrick by selling our best players each season to balance the books and replace them with mid-table players and expect to finish anywhere above mid-table.

It's Gibson that ultimately carries the can for this one.

Bristol City sold their top goalscorer, to us hasn't held them back

I hope he does sell, and at terms agreeable to him. He's done his bit for the club but we really need to break out of this inertia. I know you should be careful what you wish for but it's a given that all organisations decline given time. The club needs reinvigorating.
