Fair point. But the players at his disposal are of a different league ( literally!)

Agree but Howe brought most of the players in and gelled them together, as he did in Bournemouths promotion seasons, the difference Carrick is a nice who's not very good Iheanacho OUCH!

  • Bristol City sold their top striker (to us). Millwall sold their two star forwards, Flemming and Esse and replaced them with a loan of our third choice striker. Coventry lost their star #10 on a free.

In 2025 our form has us 17th in the league. Appalling.

  • Looking forward to this one  Will feel like a preseason game 2 teams with nothing to play for, can hopefully just enjoy a few goals either way Will keep my eye on Mihailo Ivanovic and the 2

In fairness I used the word often. I accept there's always going to be one or two exceptions. Carrick does not fit into that category.

In fairness to Plymouth I quite like them as a Club and if it helps their cause then Carrick can be a good egg and gift them some points, he's good at things like that.

Think of it as another Easter resurrection because it's the only miracle we are likely to witness under Carrick.

Yep like a nice giant Easter egg in the form of 3 points for Plymouth.

All this talk of selling our better players & lets be honest, as good as ELL was, we were still stuggling against defensive teams, still losing at home & still having two different halves in a game with him & Rogers at the club

Carrick was getting outfought by the majority of opposing managers

Grabbing defeat from the jaws of victory

Todays performance is typical under Carricks time here

Injuries, when does a time come when you start to ask questions, why?

That is a distinct possibility. They fight like hell.

What if we push the boat out and get S**n D***e?

It's not thrilling, but it's 2 up top and we get promoted

Then we just get rid or stay up a year then get rid

If Carrick was a nasty git I think he'd still be crap, you've either got it or you haven't and unfortunately.

Not really. I was never as apathetic towards Boro in them seasons as I have been this season.

Nah we need to stick with the idea of a manager who wants possession and attacking football, we just want one with tactical ability and who is able to set up a defence

God forbid, but right now if it was an either/or scenario it's a no brainer for me and I don't mean retaining Carrick.

Iling kicking the ball out of play when he did sums up the mindset of the squad under Carrick.

True but are we giving Scott the keys to decide this?

He wanted Rob Edwards who imo is *** and not fluked exactly but did something close for that Luton promotion, a physical hard to beat team and the right conditions came about

I'm not as bad as towards the end of Pulis' tenure but the feeling I have is similar in terms of being fed up by the sheer pointless futility of it all.

I swear you made post after post last season laughing at people who wanted Carrick replaced by similarly awful managers. Sean Dyche? No *** thanks.
