I think we got to be as bold as we can be with this selection be pacey and aggressive.            Travers Dijksteel  Fry  Borges  Iling-Junior        Hackney  Morris   Burgzorg/Forss  Azaz   Giles           Conway Bench without Barlaser and áģheanacháģ please, 2 academy kids to take their places who are hungry/deserve their chance. For me Azaz needs to go back in cam position as that's his better position and Giles needs to take his spot to run at players with freedom and put some good balls in box to feed Conway. Giles for me cant play lb, he's bad defensively we need to put someone behind him to give him freedom to do what he does well offensively. Burgzorg again pacey and direct, Forrs would be a different but I do think in that position he has the most quality and can get goals so I am torn. Well the thing is Carrick (and by extension Boro's) idea of "giving it a go" is to be cautious, don't overextend and wait for openings. Stay calm and be patient. We don't do the "come out of the traps flying" high-tempo stuff (except in short bursts on the counter). I'll be genuinely interested to see how Coventry approach this. They can't be all that confident after the run they've been on. Will they be like us, or will they go full throttle from the whistle?

We'll go all out as our defence is , shall we say, vulnerable. I'm not confident at all as we're decimated by injuries to key players, Dovin, Thomas, MVE, Torp and Mason Clarke are all likely to be missing, 5 players that would start if fit. Should we not make it I hope that whoever does hammers Wilders lot 5
Old Codger 4,239 4.8k
Sounds like two teams in the same boat. Agree with the last line.

Jumped to Chelsea before second season at DC could find him out, then two unsuccessful spells with Chelsea and Everton. Got good start at Coventry, but now struggling because of lack of plan b.  Sounds a lot like Carrick career could turn into something similar - if he had got the call from MU after that first season, it. Ight have been even more alike!

So if we don't go for the throat and just be patient they might just think fine we do the same take no chances unless late on they need the result, which btw Lampard would tell them if they all of sudden needed the result.

Plastic Goat 680 1k
Up to this point this has been a very frustrating and disappointing season. Whether we get into the playoffs is really out of our hands. To stand any chance we have to win at Coventry. A win at Coventry will go a long way to putting matters right as long as the other results go our way.Somehow I can't see it happening. I hope I'm wrong.

We really struggled against every side we've played recently - a last minute penalty v Plymouth is the only reason we've even got anything riding on this game. TeaCider24 17,814 22.9k
Still the only side in England not to give away a penalty this season. So the odds are on us losing to a penalty in this game, or reaching the play-off final and giving one away there. đ
