Downsouth 8,142 39k
I promised that I would not but to heck with it I am nervous as lamb going out to slaughter. This team keeps pulling you in and making you think that anything is possible and they are right it is!

Still think you'll have too much for us in attack. We really struggled against every side we've played recently - a last minute penalty v Plymouth is the only reason we've even got anything riding on this game. Our defence has been haphazard at best this season If Thomas is fit he'll start as he's our best centre half and pops up with a few goals If Van Ewijk is available that'll be a massive boost as he's one of the best right backs in the league but the way he was limping at Luton i would be shocked The goalie situation really worries us and our forwards have been firing blanks, hence I'm not overly confident. But, we are a bit of a force at home and I can only hope the full house roars them on

Bruce 2,974 2.3k
Kind of looks like Frank Lampard's Coventry is a lot like Michael Carrick's Boro. Their best spell seems to have come when they switched to a formation he doesn't usually use and went through a spell of 10 wins in 11 games; their only loss being Leeds. Looking at it though, they were largely winning against teams in mediocre form and it does look like they can easily fold when put under pressure. It looks like it's going to be a game between two brittle teams who can look great when the sun shines. From the looks of it, he's switched to a 4-2-3-1 with Matt Grimes as a holding midfielder which will lead to the same problems we had when we did that with Barlaser. I suspect that switching away from a midfield 3 after Torp got injured has scunnered them. I'm guessing Carrick will be sticking with the same system that doesn't work on the basis that surely this time it'll be alright. Probably the only change bar injuries will be to shuffle the front four around again. Personally, I think he should go with a 4-3-3 and bring Howson into midfield along with Morris and Hackney; hopefully Rav is fit enough to start. This feels like a drab 1-1 to me, Coventry making the play-offs along with Blackburn sneaking through after a surprise win at Sheff Utd. I have zero confidence in us under Carrick. Nobby Barnes 679 1.2k
NOBBY EXCLUSIVE 💥 Rav van den Berg, Neto Borges and Riley McGree are all in contention to play against Coventry... More good news ! PS Zhou Xintong is 4-4 in the semi v Ronnie in the snooker for those of you following my tip to win the tournament. It just adds to the drama doesn't it ? Not in the slightest bit nervous for Saturday. I’m not even sure I’m watching as I’m away with the family for the weekend. This team is done.

Pressure off and playing away from home means we can play on the break which suits us. We have good attacking players. Coventry have an injury crisis in defence. I'm amazed you can't get exited for a game like this tbh....!

I'm so disillusioned and detached from Carrick's inability to inspire and motivate and to put put out a team with fight and fire in their bellies I totally get Humpy's feelings. Add in, that even in a two horse race Carrick's horse would come third, totally wasted and threw away our season. Even if by some farcical one off event he won tomorrow, he still couldn't get us through the Play Offs due to his blinkered intransigence. edinboro 1,430 2.2k
It might be my imagination but I think when team are in pole position for the play offs they bottle it. And when you think you are out you find form. That comes down to mentality. I think we will see tomorrow which group of players actually want to get in the play offs. All of us Bristol, Coventry, Blackburn and Millwall are much of a muchness. Who knows where the dice will land when the final whistles go.

In reality, in order to finish in the play-offs, we still are very much under pressure to win the game.

I am level headed and deep within me know how this will pan out but there still is hope (which could change within minutes) not seen a truly professional game from Boro but this could change. Being optimistic Matt that's all
