So, do the people who hear things have anything this morning. Carrick seemed quite sure he will be involved in discussion on Howson and Dijksteel, so he thinks he is staying.

But I would find it staggering. Gibson isn't daft. He knows bad football when he sees it. Scott will have his hands tied behind his back if Gibson makes him work with Carrick for another season.

We have to move on. I want it done ASAP so we can start to plan before the play offs are done. Every day we can get ahead and line players up the better.

I know the window doesn't open, but deals get done before players go away and signed when the window opens. So we should be making moves now. And that needs clarity on who the manager is.

Gibson will lose the fans if he sticks. He really will. It will be a terrible decision.

As much praise as Gibson gets IF he sticks with Carrick then he has honestly lost his head and his judgement should be called into question.

We’ve not been cut throat for a while now and given contracts to people and players who don’t deserve it.

Southgate being appointed with no experience

Woodgate - should never have been given the managers job but he got it. THEN he is allowed to return as an assistant manager lol

Agnew in the prem season was farcical at the time and now even more so in hindsight knowing he hasn’t become a number 1 anywhere

Howson still being in the squad despite being miles past it and not being replaced

And now Carrick  and our decline since December when it’s been clear as day he’s not up to it.

Even being timid in the transfer market and not approaching managers in a job just isn’t fitting in the modern game

A rant while having a *** 💩

I think he will go mate o

I hope so. We need rid of him and the weak mentality he's instilled (and still is instilling) in this whole club.

But the longer it goes without any news from the club, then I think the chances of him staying get stronger.

The only reason I think we may be delaying the announcement is ensuring we have someone lined up to replace him straight away, Otherwise I don't get why we would wait.

Yeah I am expecting the likes of Alex Crook on talksport to start to plant the seed over the next couple of days and then the echo and gazette start piling in and an inevitable announcement some point next week.

Gibson can't and won't get this one wrong. Surely.

He won't be going anywhere, lost ELL, Doak and Jones at the same time through no fault.of his own... All the pace we had in the side gone overnight!

We were poor before we lost them

Trying to remember how quickly we heard about Pulis leaving. I think people were worried he might stay another year because Gibson seemed to like him so much.

We missed out on the 5th of May 2019.

The Gazette were reporting he was leaving on the 13th of May, it was officially announced on the 17th of May.

A whole narrative of Carricks tenure has been that we’ve always leaked goals but could out score opponents. When that dried up we didn’t close up and it’s cost us.

It’s embarrassing that he’s genuinely lasted this long without changing or adapting his playing style.
