Personally I think it's Rohl.

I think if it was Edwards or Cooper (or anyone else) we might have heard something concrete or even had an announcement.

With Rohl being in post with Sheff Wed I think that is what is taking the time. The complexities of negotiations his exit.

Probably miles off the mark, just my Monday morning musings.

You can counter that with considering how public Rohl has been with German clubs if we were formally speaking to him it would of been announced as he’s currently with a club

i Think it’s Edwards I presume the delay is backroom staff but also all the media work as I think the club will want to a bunch of interviews to get people on side

I’d be wary of Rohl to be honest. Seems to want to move back to Germany so do you really want to start out with a new manager that you know wants away as soon as a German club comes sniffing or one that’s here for long term (if things are going well)

If he comes and he’s in a position where bundesliga clubs are circling then he must have done really well, surely this is what we want?

He also states in the interview he loves it over in England. His family are settled in Germany and states one day he would like to coach over there but it all works with how he coaches over here , he likes the English football and Culture so now you'll have people spin it that he's saying he wants a job over there right now when he doesn't.

Bit different to him inviting them into his home for a sit down interview and feature in the local paper. What’s he meant to do, lie? He’s already said he’d fancy a job in Germany which is understandable. From reading the translation, I wouldn’t say this is him begging for a job.

The Echo boys said they expected the announcement end of last week or start of this week. And it looks like Craig Johns is back from his jollies. So. . . Are runes now aligning for us getting an announcement.

With the latest from Rohl you would suggest he is out of the running. That being the case, is it between Edwards and one of the unknown?

Edwards is still very short odds with the bookies. Unless it is another Karanka situation where despite everything the press hear we have landed someone no one expects us to it looks like it's him.

It would be nice if it's today, and especially later as I have a long trip down south for work. Would be good to have all the media stuff to watch and read on the journey.

I suppose the length of time it's taking could mean the whole process has gone belly up. Wouldn't be surprised.

I'd rather they took their time...Its important they get this right don't you think

Thought about it for a while and I still don't have a clear favourite. Convincing arguments have been made for and against all three.

Personally, I think the clear fav for who I'd want to be our manager is Steve Cooper. No one comes close (who are realistically available).

But I think the clear fav for who will be our manager is Edwards.
