Some might say it’s boring but it’s nice to see the club finally being sensible. Gave Carrick as long as possible to fix things, did a full deep dive review, then appointed a manager with a championship promotion who will fit into the director of football model perfectly. Just need to give him the signings that fit now

I'll be Scott out as well if this doesn't work.

I think this is where I’m at too. I’m willing to get on board with it on the basis of Kieran Scott getting his man, but we’ve supposedly interviewed 2 other candidates that I and a lot of others feel are better suited.

As far as I’m concerned he’s stuck his neck out for Edwards and it’s a case of live by the sword, die by the sword. If it works out then he deserves the plaudits, and if it doesn’t then he should be following Edwards out the door.

I also like the fact we finally moved on from Woodgate as manager’s assistant and will give him proper backroom staff

That fit Edwards or some kind of club ethos is the question

He got promoted with a low possession, physical team and we’re the complete opposite of that

Will Rob adapt to us or our targets to Rob

At Watford he had very high possession and very low output and that’s with Sarr and Joao Pedro being in his team

I predict we’ll find some middle ground of being a 3-5-2 physical team than can play a bit but generally the other team has the ball more and we defend from the front

I must say I do think Edwards is a good fit for us, albeit a sensible one. My only concern is his last 6 months at Luton but before that he did really well everywhere. Even the Watford sacking was fairly harsh

I had a scroll of Watford forums and most think the owner didn’t want him from the off so the dof made the choice then the owner forced him out

Do they do refunds on season tickets

Yeah. The process is very simple really, You just need phone MFC ticket office on 01642 929421 and start crying and whining down the phone like a baby.

He’s said before how he adapted how he wants to play to fit the players he had at Luton, and the fact we might FINALLY see some physicality has got to be a plus

Whilst I understand that some people will look at the other candidates and make their own judgements of who ranks better, for me personally I don't think there is any kind of chasm of difference between them. None of the candidates really grabbed me and made me think "This is who it has to be". Everyone in that process therefore was going to come into this job with a point to prove and Scott will have the same point to prove picking Edwards, Cooper, Rohl or whoever else it might have been. So yeah, really much of a muchness in terms of who was picked.

Edward’s!?!? The grass isn’t always greener. We’ve basically went back to Warnock ball. High press, high intensity..I’d rather lose playing on the front foot than that ***.
