Brian Priske has been mentioned but he’s on his way to Sparta Prague so that’s one we can cross off the list if he was ever on, which I doubt.

I think Edwards, Cooper and Rohl are on the list. The rest are wishful thinking.

I’d guess those 3 were our nailed on options and we’ve probably tried asking a few higher profile guys like Schmidt for example just to test the water.

I'm sure Humpty is passing on what he has heard in good faith, but as of yesterday the process of identifying a replacement hadn't formally started - certainly no interviews booked.

All that has happened so far is we have received a number of expressions of interest, including one from a former England centre half that was politely declined.

Based on the posts on this forum. He’s one of only 2 who have inside info on transfers/info.

One is Hutchy and the other was Juno (I think it was).

All the other pretend ITK’s just clearly throw mud at the wall and hope it sticks.

Digger and Lurker have always been sound as a pound.

At the end of the day, anyone is subject to what they're told, I always take everything with a pinch of salt because things change constantly, so they can be told one thing one day and then things change that they don't know about. Always appreciated the info, it would be a boring place without some rumours.

But to me, I genuinely think that there's more than one name in the hat, even if there's an initial preference for say Edwards.

John Terry possibly?

Tbh I'm inclined to believe Humpty. Everything he's said checks out with what echo are saying.

I think three he mentioned will have interviews this week

I don't believe at all that we'd have announced the sacking of our manager 4 days ago, with the decision having been made before  that, and made no effort to start the process of finding his replacement.

Would make absolutely no sense.

I don’t think carrick being sacked was planned, I think the review we had some changes and carrick didnt want to make them which has forces us to act, which would explain why there was no one ready and no leading candidate according to echo and gazette mate

I believe one or two are ITK like but most are absolute fantasists who get off on attention.

Humpty’s info is what I’ve heard. I’m not ITK but did get some info from a credible source this weekend by chance.

Don’t know if that is the final list, or just the three that are out there.
