Let’s hope so, we can’t keep sacking managers. He’s a good coach and he’ll get better.

It makes it sound like its completely on his terms

At the very least in that meeting someone needs to be asking questions about the defence, his dogmatic approach to tactics, the lack of width, the inability to come from behind and his poor subs

Did you see the wingers he was given? How do you get width out of burgzorg whittaker and forss?

Given? I’m sure he has part of if not a large contribution when it comes to signings?

He has a part sure but if you think he's been happy with that squad he's ended the season with you have to be mad. Sure he's had to play a right back most of the season he's been trying to get rid of, a centre mid who he's been trying to get rid of while Morris was injured, 4 different left backs, 4 different keepers. Constant rotation of the front 4 because his options weren't doing anything. He's involved but the over all squad building buck stops higher than him.

Does it though? You have to say injuries a big part and has been more than just this season. But he’s responsible for training and finding the right balance. People praise his for LL and Rogers then blame others for the poor signings! It’s already known the donkey from Seville was his choice so you have question all of it

‘Carrick’s future is likely to be determined by whether or not he feels comfortable with the conclusions and solutions reached from said review.’

I read that as backroom staff changes i.e. we’re getting shot of your brother, hope that’s cool

Interesting. That's a decent spot.

Very interesting. Wonder if they've identified Danks as being the main reason for our issues this season.

We were cr@p last season when Danks was here. He's been a loss, but he isn't reason we were so bad this season just gone.

I hope they've identified it as 'part' of the problem. I hope if he does stay we at least do a proper assessment and invest in addressing our cumulative failures.

Figure out why we continuously have injuries, invest in better fitness coaches/medical staff.

Get some proper experience in the coaching team.

Invest in a couple of proper experienced leaders in the spine of the team, a CB an CM/DM who will grab his team mates by the scruff of the neck and drag them through a game when things aren't going our way. Leadbitter style.

Thankfully we can send back much of the January dross, the expensive remaining question mark would be Whittaker, but hopefully Dijksteels replacement will help him to improve.
