That’s why I believe it more, surely if he was staying the media saying a big announcement coming means it’s more he’s off

Problem with the Boro though is there never seems to be any logic behind anything done 🤣🤣🤣

To put another spin on it, it could be that we were keeping our powder dry until a manager we wanted became available. Obviously there were various extenuating circumstances when Wilder was sacked, and it was different as it was mid-season, but it was still slightly unedifying having a Leo & Cattermole management team muddling through while we waited on sorting everything with Carrick.

It could just be that while the club thought Carrick's time was up, keeping him around was better than having no manager. I might be giving them too much credit, but I don't mind the radio silence if that is the case.

Fair play by the way, if this actually happens, you were one of the only ones who really said it could still happen. 😅 And for the reasons you've suggested in this post and previous too, especially if a new manager is about signed up.

I'm expecting Scott to be on Tees tomorrow or later this week. I think that is how they will officially announce it, with the Gazette and Echo getting a nod 30 minutes before.

We aren’t announcing a Royal Death ffs just announce it

Fair play Tom, you did call it (if true)

Only reason I can think of it taking this long is that we've been waiting for the breakthrough with the new man. If it's true, hopefully we're ready to announce him at the same time. Couldn't be arsed with weeks of speculation

Yeah that’s my exact thought, looks how fans are with transfers if we miss a target imagine if multiple managers were missed who we were targeting after sacking carrick, would be brutal
