Lets be fair boot on the other foot if we were in the play offs, 99.9% of Mackem fans would be on their prayer mats hoping we get beat.

Not sure about on prayer mats, or the 99.9%, but I take your point marra.

Good luck with it mate. I would probably prefer Coventry getting promoted overall but someone has to take Wilder down and if it has to be Sunderland then so be it. At least the Tyne-Wear derby would be back for a year.Β πŸ˜…

Just amazed nobody on here has said Cee U Next Tuesday to me marra. 🀣

tbh you wish us well more than some of our own who only seem to be happy when we lose so they have something to whinge about. I would be happy to see all 3 big northeast teams in the Prem, so we can have proper "not a derby" games but probably too much for Pools and Spennymoor for a whileΒ

I’m gonna say it.Β
Β

i want Sunderland to go up.Β
Β

i prefer the northeast teams to do well. I take my happiness in watching people do well and Sunderland have had enough dark days so probably deserve it.Β
good luck buddy 🫑

Hopefully if you do return to Champs, you are able to hang onto the best players. Biggest danger is having to start from scratch again.Β  Good luck

If we don't go up, this team will be decimated mate. Got some monies worth in this squad, and they will be gone.

Even if we do go up, we could still lose a couple which will be a shame.

I try to stay away if we are doing well, or if you are struggling marra, cos I don't want to wind people up.

Friendly rivalry is healthy, but shouldn't stop me from wishing you well.

Us, the Mags and you should all be playing at the highest level.

George you've never come across as trying to wind anyone up, come on here & show your colours there must be times you come on here & have to sit on your hands

Can't see who the favourites would be if you overcone Coventry tomorrow night, a toss of the coin

Could you do as a professional as you did against Coventry when playing Sheff Utd, dont know

Wish we could perform like that. Good luck GeorgeΒ

Don't forget that they're not long off a multi year stint in league 1 while we were challenging for play offs in the championship. If they go up, great for them, but on aggregate over the last 10 years we've had a better time of it.Β

Are they still singing about Conway?

I do wonder if a part of him will be relieved at this result, despite spending so much of his life at the club.

The first time they've made the play-offs since he was 5 years old, and it's the season that he leaves them under a really dark cloud.

Bound to feel a bit daft.
