TeaCider24 17,814 22.9k
For one of the weakest seasons on record, we now have a record high defeat in a play-off semi-final. Sheffield United 6-0 Bristol City. Edited May 12 by TeaCider24

Under Carrick that could and likely would have been us with the lads giving it all they've got trying to carry Iheanacho off the pitch most likely.

SouthernSmoggie 5,244 6.9k
Bristol City beat us twice. Wonder how many Sheff Utd would have scored against us over two legs?

I do feel the controversial red card decision in the first leg impacted massively on the tie.

We only got beat once in 46 matches by the margin Bristol City got beat by in both games. And we had a man sent off within 20mins of that game. We only got beat by more than a single goal 5 times, twice vs Leeds, once vs Bristol and twice vs Coventry. We might have lost but there's not much evidence to suggest we'd have done worse than bristol City did.

If they go up, great for them, but on aggregate over the last 10 years we've had a better time of it. Thats a bit like saying we've both been sh1te, but your sh1te is slightly better than our sh1te marra.

We've both underachieved massively, but I'd rather underachieve in the championship than in league 1. That said, I'll be incredibly jealous if yous pull it off and get promoted this season.
Marz 219 1.7k
Really don't want Sunderland to go up, we've already lost the Leeds fixture for next season. It's nice to have a derby to look forward to, first fixture I look out for.

TeaCider24 17,814 22.9k
Bristol City were statistically the worst ever team to qualify for the second division play-offs, and they backed that up by managing the worst ever result on the play-offs themselves. Makes it even more annoying that they still did better than we did.
LBP 4,113 6.6k
Sunlun have moved their advertising boards in 2m to stop Coventry’s long throw in abuse I do miss when we were shithouses under Karanka like If it’s not Carrick and back the attack then please please get rid of Kezza and bring Dyche in for the best of both worlds Shithousery, a solid defence and a 40 goal strike partnership up front Its not Pulisball it’s top 2! AllBoro10 3,555 4.3k
Who does Scott Wilson support? He always seems very upbeat about the three north east teams. but does anyone know who he actually supports?
