At his best he is a huge asset and for his sake a period of actually playing would be brilliant. That length of period out must have been awful for him. I guess he will be on bench tomorrow, but if he can train well over international break he must stand a chance of replacing Ayling (though he has been better than I expected at RCB)

No reason to think Lenihan will replace him after the break. (Unless he has a mind melt tomorrow). I imagine Lenihan will get minutes here and there until he is needed to step in for a suspension or injury. And hopefully not because one of the current three has a drastic drop in form.
Dynamo Kev 1,973 6.5k
A draw written all over this game. Typically we would get beat by a twam bottom and winless. But sheff utd are have a defence like a civ. Gaps all over when watching their highlights. We will get plenty of oppertunities. 2-2 draw

Be interesting to see what Edwards stance is - is it your place to lose, or will some players get straight back in after returning from injury/suspension. Talking generally there, not about Lenihan/Ayling. I can see argument for keeping Ayling in anyway, though I think irrespective of how he has played, Lenihan is the better player at CB. TeaCider24 20,790 25.1k
Sounds like Hackney's playing tomorrow if Edwards' answer is anything to go by.

Sheff Utd still have Hamer and O'Hare with Cooper in goal, together with Louie Barry, Tom Cannon and Tyrese Campbell. Not to mention new signings Danny Ings and Japhet Tanganga. Very difficult test... If we're the real deal then it should be a win.

At the the end of the match I want to hear a rousing chant of: We are top of the league, we are top of the league. The alternative is 2 weeks of moaning during the international break. mackie2424 762 1.2k
Really tough game, Sheffield United will not want to lose one bit and I think they’d settle for a point. I’ll go with a 1-0 win. Hansen with the goal. UTFB
